YES! between the 2 food bags it holds 14lbs of food, I counted how many cups per day by dog eats and filled the containers that way but you could always skip the little bags and just fill the bottom of the luggage bag. 1 of the food containers was enough for my 6 mos old lab. I was able to fit her food, toys, pee pad, towel ( she is a slobby pup) , treats( new in pkg), chew bones, water bottle, seat belt, poop scoop, extra bags, a large jar of peanut butter... The bag holds a ton of stuff. It worked perfect for our trip.
