Star Trek: Picard - The Complete Series

One heck of a ride!
I'm a trekkie so I'm biased. But this was more than I expected. It starts out slow enough for you to grasp what's going on, ( for non trekkies) Then takes you in a hundred different directions including past and present before going to warp. When its all over you're sad, but the writers leave you with the impression it's not over and that its not the last we will see of the Enterprise and it's crew. Very thoughtfully done and I loved how they tied up all those loose ends.

Good series, one disk needed replaced. Season 3 is my favorite.

A Satisfying Romp through Space
The first thing to note about Star Trek: Picard is that its strength is also its weakness. On the one hand, the production quality of each episode exceeds that of the original series, by far. In fact, some of the episodes, especially in the Third Season, are of film quality. The flip side is that there are very, very few episodes in each “season.” Indeed, there are only ten shows per season whereas there were normally 26 episodes per year in the 1980s and 1990s.Each season reflects its own arc, so watching one episodes in isolation makes no sense whatsoever. Having said that, if you are a Star Trek fan, you simply cannot skip this series. Provided below is a summary of each season that does not really give away any of the delights or surprises of the series.Season One was all about Picard reconciling his childhood and integrate his newfound knowledge into his understanding about how it affected him throughout his life, especially in matters of the heart.Season Two inserted more adventure into Picard’s life by bringing in fan favorite aspects like time travel, the Borg, and Q. The time travel is “back” to 2024, so that makes for some easy comparisons. Season Two also featured the return of some older characters.Season Three—the final season—is all about Worf becoming the most comedic character in the franchise. Seriously! On top of that, Season Three featured the reunion of most of the characters from the Next Generation series in a romp of space including a variety of Kobayashi Maru predicaments. Finally, each season of blu-rays provides extras, gags, etc. For each season, there are about 2-4 episodes with commentaries by actors, directors, etc. The commentaries in the third season are particularly enjoyable, as the actors let loose and you fell like you’re crashing their premier viewing party.

Must have for any Star Trek lover.
Very good quality picture and sound. If it came with full screen instead of letter box it would have been perfect.

GOOD PRICE FOR A POPULAR TV BOXED SET ON BLU-RAY.
This popular Star Trek mini series would only be available on the Paramount+ paid subscription streaming network if it wasn't for DVD and Blu-ray.And, I've spent months comparing the prices between Amazon and Ebay, and comparing the features and price of DVD and BLU-RAY.Since I bought a BLU-RAY player earlier this year, I have been looking to add some BLU-RAY media to my collection, and with Amazon's competitive prices, I'm finally able to make that happen.Star Trek Picard reunites the cast of Star Trek The Next Generation in an all-new adventure several years in the future following the original 7 season run on CBS which led to 4 big screen movies. Years after Admiral Jean-Luc Picard retired from active Starfleet duty, he is suddenly called back to duty when the Federation's largest and most dangerous enemies unite and threaten the galaxy once again. Now, Starfleet must do everything possible to save the galaxy from the Borg, as well as the the Changelings who were at the root of the Dominion.

A great addition to my collection
This dvd is a great addition to my collection. The bonus features are pretty cool. I'm still looking for the bonus feature though of the card game that was played during the last episode of the 3rd season of Picard. Terry Mettalis stated in an interview that the entire scene was going to be available on the dvd. Supposedly, that sene lasted more than 10 minutes. That there was actually more than an hour of footage filmed and that it was going to be included in the dvd. I've yet to find it/see it. Does anyone know if that footage was actually included???

I'd watch this just for the Season 3 credits.
For the longest time I avoided this series. I liked Star Trek: The Next Generation so much that I didn't want to risk watching someone ruin it if they didn't do the Picard series right. After consulting with some friends who are big ST:TNG fans, I ventured forth. I'm *so* glad I did.Season 1 is excellent, and I was definitely hooked. My friends told me Season 2 is a hot mess, so I skipped it. Season 3 is an absolute love letter to devoted fans who wanted to see their beloved crew together one more time. Worth every penny. The credits for Season 3 are so beautifully done, I don't skip a second. That alone brings back such nostalgia that it's worth the price of admission.I've gone back and started watching Season 2, which I agree is a little out there, but I'm hooked in there as well. I can't wait to see how it plays out. After that, I know I'll be wishing there were more than three seasons, but I believe this series is the perfect way to wrap up the Next Generation legacy. You'll find me glued to the Season 3 credits.
