I somehow lost my gas cap while mowing, this one fits my cheapo Bolen mower perfectly and seems to hold tight better than the old one.

Fits my YardMachine B&S 500E engine perfectly. My model (500E) is not mentioned in the item description.

The original cap for my 4 yr old Husqvarna mower fit OK but tended to get loosened or even knocked off by mowing under brush. This Spring I didn't notice when that happened, not until I saw the remnants. The first Amazon replacement (labeled as the correct B&S cap) was extremely loose but I was desperate. I added a gasket to tighten the fit but it was precarious and soon unusable. My 2nd Amazon cap (from this source purchased Aug 1st) is working OK but there is still some leakage. I will try to find a way to make a tighter fit and will post the info if/when I know it works.Edited for tip: I found the gasket from the previous (broken) cap and used it to double-up the seal, but I think the biggest improvement will come from cutting of the plastic strap. I think THAT is what has been loosening/knocking off my previous caps when I'm mowing under bushes!

You would think they would at least physically test their caps against what they claim it fits. Isn't that the first step in any product release?

Seems well built, fits the tank.Be careful though, there are at least 3 different designs and sizes so carefully compare the original to the picture before ordering.
