I wanted to use this to cool down a small 4x4 grow tent, was hoping for just a small touch. After hours, there was not a SINGLE degree change. As a matter of fact, the room got even hotter.You cannot put ice into this machine. The ports to put water in are extremely small. Also the water doesn't cool anything down anyways, it seems to be for the humidifier function.THIS IS BARELY EVEN A GLORIFIED FAN. This pushes out air like a weak fart. 3 speed settings, first two I swear I can't even tell its on unless my hand is 2 inches away from the device. Even if you just want this on your desk to cool down, GET SOMETHING ELSE, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. this is a scam device. Might work as a low tier humidifier or a scentsy. This is trash.

I purchased this portable air cooler for my 96 yr old mother to help keep her cool in the hot summer months. So far, we have only used it at night to keep the bedroom cooler. We freeze the water in the the little container made for that purpose, and refrigerate the whole thing after filling the well and wetting the fabric first. This way it is all ready to go when we need it. It won't cool a room or anything big, but does send some nice cool air your way on a hot spell. She likes it and can work the controls. Not sure how well it will do when the really hot weather comes in July and August, but so far so good. She usually wakes up and restarts the fan after as it shuts down after 6 hours.Update: So it still works great. it shuts off when the water runs out but we liked it enough to purchase another. Except, they sent us a different one. Ok-So the new one had the water tank at the top with an easy screw on lid - you can put in ice cubes whichis nice, and it has a light too. It sprays a mist (atomizer) if you want. We don't think it is quite as cooling as the first model, but I do think it is easier to fill with water. Downside is that you cannot unscrew the water tank lid (maybe it creates a vacuum?) until it has been turned off for awhile so if you want to refill and keep it running, you may be out of luck. It also comes with a carrying strap. Now that the really hot weather is in - triple digits outside and almost 90 degrees inside, we are looking for something a little stronger. But these have been great until now.

You have to get sitting right in front of this product to feel the breeze it puts out. It is not very cool even with ice and water in the top. Very disappointed!

Does not cool at all. Not matter what you set the device to or how many ice cubes you add to it. It's pretty much a very low powered fan. And the three fan speeds don't really matter because none of them really push any air flow. You get what you pay for...

I bought this as a cooling solution while my son's air conditioner is being repaired. His room is very small so I figured, considering the 1000+ glowing reviews, that this would surely make some difference and help him sleep better at night. I was expecting something so much better! This is a very basic fan with a very basic water tank. Even adding the coldest water possible makes no difference in the air temperature that comes out of this fan. Also, the three speeds: they are barely noticeable as you turn them up. The light show is silly. Unless you're buying it as a desk fan to put right in front of your face, don't waste your money on this.
