These are very useful if you want to keep the mice away. The quantity is also enough.

I've always found fine-grade wire wool useful for cleaning and polishing glass, metal and other hard surfaces. This is advertised for also filling gaps to deter mice etc but fortunately, that is something I've never needed it for. One of the photographs on the product's web page also shows it being used to fill holes before filling with a filler. Whilst this would work I'd be concerned that any water in the filler may cause the wire wool to rust and stain the filler although this may not be an issue with deep holes.The steel wool is very fine and is supplied in four packs. I didn't take much notice of the advertised quantity but was pleasantly surprised at just how much there is and it will last me quite a while.I never rub hard on any surface that I'm cleaning with it and I've used it to clean the glass on my windows and it removes stubborn marks without scratching. I have in the past used it gently on car windscreens which seem to get particularly difficult to remove deposits.0000 grade wire wool is great for cleaning stainless steel and also flattening paint and varnish before a final coat or finishing with a polishing compound. I wouldn't use it on soft, painted, vinyl and highly polished surfaces although if used gently it will help to remove weathering from uPVC windows and furniture (I finish this off with a polishing compound such as T-cut afterwards). It can also be used to remove light tarnishing on steel but you will need to use coarser grades to remove heavy rusting.For a total length of 8 metres (4 x 2 metres), it is very competitively priced and recommended.
