I selected the HIKMICRO Eco Thermal Camera to assist with PCB fault finding, and it has been incredibly effective. This thermal imaging tool allowed me to identify overheating components, subtle temperature variances, and potential fault points quickly and with impressive clarity. I paid £160 and was well pleased.Using it was straightforward—simply power on, point at the board, and review the thermal display on the camera's screen. I could pinpoint areas where components were under thermal stress, revealing possible shorts, poor solder joints, and faulty components without needing a multimeter. The image resolution and sensitivity are perfect for electronics work, as it captures minor temperature differences down to fractions of a degree, which is critical for diagnosing issues in densely packed circuits.The battery life is excellent, and the compact size made it easy to maneuver around different areas of the PCB. The data logging feature is a bonus, allowing me to capture images for later reference or documentation. Overall, the HIKMICRO Eco has quickly become a go-to tool in my workshop, saving time and adding accuracy to my fault-finding process on complex PCBs. Works really well you can clearly see the hot spots in electrical equipment. Also gives you a good idea of temperature. The uses are endless. Shows you the hot and cool spots in any area,well worth the money. It is really well made.

I bought this camera to check out my house insulation. It works fine and the resolution is fine. It's very easy to use but does take about half an hour to understand what it's doing. The laser pointer is a nice touch. Note that unless you know the emissivity of the surface which you are measuring (set in sub menus) the absolute temperature indicated will be inaccurate. Most of what I want is to find temperature differences so accuracy is not top of my list. I'm glad i bought this stand alone unit rather than a smartphone plug in which would not be as robust or future proof. And it's usb rechargeable. I'm sure there are better ones but not for the price hence 5 stars.

This is obviously an economy model, but at 160 quid you can't go wrong looking at HW pipe runs and thermal transmittance critical spots.......and this is a big one - the FLIR TA13 Protective Case for TG165 Thermal Camera fits it (just) and it's less than 12 quid rather than 30 or 40.

I bought this on a bit of a whim after getting fed up of the house always feeling chilly. Even after a few hours of use I can tell I'm going to recover the purchase cost in my future heating bills as I've found a number of places where there are gaps in the insulation or there are draughts.The unit looks and feels well made. It has a clear picture and the laser pointer makes it easy to pinpoint exactly where the cold spots are. The software is very easy to use and the interface is fast and responsive.

Great product for the price, easy to set up and use, sharp image. Very nice.

It’s a nice piece of kit, but not for water leak inspection or wall scanning as the advertisement might make you believe, it never shows what’s under the surface or anything, although it detects the temperature very well, even your finger marks or foot steps.

Really nice bit of technology. Photo is my hand print on a table a minute after I took it off. You can see footprints on carpet, heating pipes through the floor, any electrical item. It’s light and the image is very clear. Rechargeable too.

Agree with some comments of low resolution of the device, but fullfill my needs.Quality/price is good. Bought to check my house air leaks, impressive....Can even see throught walls heating ducts locations when system in use. Even some exterior walls studs location when cold outside... Some work on my side to optimize my building highligted.
