impossible to know which way to install filter unless you look at old filter before removal

Smell the air...you know it's working when you don't smell anything
Did smell anything while driving behind a dump truck with black smoke. This product comes with a orange plastic prying tool and an allen wrinch.

Hepa filter has more airflow resistance than the OEM filter
Works ok. Fits perfectly. Too much airflow restriction compared to the original filter. Will probably replace with an OEM when this gets clogged.
