Bought this as a gift for my Dad who recently built a nice coop and got 10 hens. I think he’s really enjoyed the book and my mom said he was reading it and looking at it every morning the first few weeks of having it. My mom has a ton of books and I wanted him to have some to add to the collection as well.

This book is everything you need to know about raising chickens and has some humor sprinkled in. Great value for the money. Very informative. Goes from beginner to advanced and from back yard to commercial. Has something for everyone.

This is a great book if you are interested in raising chickens. This book is definitely a true “how to” book and not just a book spitting out facts. I love how the book has plenty of visuals and has plenty of color. It’s a fun and informative book to read. This book definitely well prepares you for chickens. I hope this review helps :)

Very informative book. The knowledge she shares will help a person become better at chicken at raising any kind of chickens. She covers everything about raising them from egg to mature.

This Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens, the 4th Edition manages to cover everything with the exception of actually including the chickens. But then the "Breed Selection" chapter helps with that. I was most interested in the security of the enclosure-the coop-and its ability to remedy vermin.

This book has quite a bit of information on chickens to say the least, and actually more than I thought. Good Deal

Much is covered in this easy to read book. The color pictures are great and help with reference to the subject being addressed. I would highly recommend this book. We are looking forward to getting started and this publication has been a jewel in giving us a platform from which to begin.
