HS2 Smart Switch Review
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the Onvis HS2 Smart Switch for a few months, and it’s been working great in my smart home setup. The installation was simple—I just scanned the QR code and paired it with the Home app. It integrates seamlessly with Apple HomeKit, which is a big win for me as an iPad user. The switch is responsive, and I can control it easily with Siri or through the app, even when I’m out of the house. The design is sleek and fits well into my home’s decor. One thing to note is that it only works with HomeKit, so if you use Alexa or Google Assistant, this isn’t the right switch. Also, a dimming feature would be nice, it works with thread which adds to my smart Home thread devices making them all more responsive.

Great product but build quality leaves something to be desired
There are only a few buttons on the market which support Thread, and this one definitely provides the most for your money. Although the button only supports HomeKit, it has 5 buttons, with three different pushes per button (Single Click, Double Click & Hold) meaning you can assign 15 different scenes/actions in total! It comes with a wall mount and simple instructions, meaning setup and installation was incredibly easy and only took 5 minutes. The buttons response time is very fast (thanks to thread), meaning there is very minimal delay between you pressing a button and your assigned action happening (e.g lights on/off).Without involving complicated iOS shortcuts, you cant assign on and off to a single button (i.e you can’t have single press turn on and off the lights, you must assign on to single click and off to double click). The physical build quality feels cheap, with buttons sometimes getting stuck under each other once pressed, which is disappointing.Regardless, the button is very responsive and reliable and I would recommend at its price for the functionality it provides.

A must need for a new smart home set up.
I brought this as part of a new smart home set up and it is an essential product. Whilst I have a HomePod I could control accessories from, having this switch by the door is perfect for quick control over all accessories. I have programmed all 15 buttons using the Home App and find it to be very responsive. I did not realise is comes with a bracket which holds the switch magnetically meaning the switch can be removed when required. Fantastic product at a good price - well done Onvis.

Only responds 40% of the time.
I got this so family and guests can control the smart devices in the house. But the majority of the time it doesn’t respond. I’ve ended up just using my phone and doing it myself. Really disappointed with this, both in terms of quality and price for what it is.

Good quality HomeKit shortcut button
It looks like the bad reviews were for the previous version of this button. Mine came in soft white colour, with sturdy buttons and high quality finish. The quality of the button and the packaging is of a typical Apple product. I am impressed. Given that Ikea shortcut buttons come at £13 and I have just replaced 5 gof them with this one, it looks like a bargain. But the most important thing is that unlike any other shortcut button which requires a hub, this one connects directly to HomeKit. I honestly don't understand the people who give bad reviews and give one star simply because it supports HomeKit only. There's a plethora or low-end low-quality products which support their Alexas, Google Assistants etc. but not HomeKit. I bought this button (currently the only product on Amazon, unfortunately) because it is specifically built for the HomeKit. The setup is simple and straightforward, as expected. It's a wonderful product. However, the only drawback is that it supports a larger CR2450 battery - not your typical shortcut button CR2320. But the good news is that the button came with the battery included. A great product.

No use whatsoever after time
Update to this after 12 months of use.The switch keeps dropping connection and eating through the button battery in about 2 months. Updating my review from 5 stars down to one as I am no longer using this and I would not recommend it either. This is a very small and discreet button switch that has five different buttons. Inside Apple Home, each button can be assigned three different functions so in all you have the ability to control 15x different items or scenes or a combination of each. Each button will work with one click for one function, double click for another, and long press for the third function.Combined with my HomePods and HomePod mini as a thread boarder router this is working perfectly.
