When my cat got old, eventually she couldn't go outside anymore to go to the toilet. So we had to use a litter tray for the first time since she was a kitten. I had forgotten how it stinks!I tried various types, but that overpowering smell of cat urine filled the house. The clumping products are designed to allow you to remove the urine (in clumps obviously), but in the meantime there is that awful smell. And it lingers even after you remove the clumps.I found SILACA cat litter to be the only effective solution. It absorbs moisture so quickly and totally that it really does eliminate the odour of cat urine. To be honest, I was pretty amazed it lived up to its claims (because so many products don't!)It lasts about a month, gradually turning yellow with use. It is more expensive per litre than other types of litter - BUT it lasts much longer.There are some downsides. It is is noisy when the cat digs in it. It also tracks a bit (but don't they all?)The biggest problem is that cat does not bury her poos well. She leaves them lying on top - which is smelly. But as soon as they are removed, the smell goes. I use doggy poo bags to do this - easier than scooping.As far as I can tell, all the silica brands are basically the same. Sanicat is available at my local pet store for about £7 for a 5 litre bag. It seems to be twice as expensive on Amazon - not sure why!

Non clumping and lack of odor. Use them regularly and happy with results.

Bought this cat litter to try a cheaper one, usually buy a more expensive type, turned out to be a false economy as it is far inferior and does not mask the smell.

Absolutely no smell of "cat" at all. I do change the litter completely every week rather than the recommended fortnight. And use liners. But to be honest that's for convenience not because cleaning is difficult. Fantastic product.

Try this cat litter when the other one of this Brand is out of stock. Really like it too. Absorb bad smell very good.
