I'd been thinking of getting a IP camera for a while. And I looked at the Hive camera but there so expensive. But while browsing Amazon I came across this camera the "Fivanus IP Camera Security Camera" At first I wasn't sure but I decided to try it. It was very easy to setup and within 20 minutes was sending video to my wife's phone. Though I do wish the app was a bit better designed. The camera quality is good and it responds to commands to quickly, I do like that clips can be saved to phone or local memory card. What made me really like it however was, the night vision. No matter how dark it gets the quality is great and you always see everything. The second is that you can turn on notifications when it detects motion, this works perfectly. When we came home last night, it sent a notification the moment the front door was open and sent a clip if us entering the flat. The clips was perfect you could see our faces clearly. It really has made me feel safer. You can view live video at any time and move the camera. It was a very nice surprise and great value.

I bought this device because it was at a reasonable price and would give me an opportunity to evaluate what can be achieved with surveillance cameras before I spend any more money on such things.It was a bit tricky getting the camera set up. I had an iOS device using my home wifi, so I installed the EyeCloud app on it, set up an EyeCloud account, and configured the device. I had to resort to using a LAN cable. Doing it the 'simpler' way suggested in the manual did not work. I think others have had this same experience.I installed the desktop app on my Windows 10 PC. It was hard to configure from there, but having configured via the iOS device, the desktop app found the camera soon after I logged into my EyeCloud account.I am now able to control the device (it has motors to rotate it on its base and to adjust tilt), view video, record video, take snapshots, the usual stuff. But so far, only with the LAN cable attached. I sent my wifi SSID and password to the camera so that it can connect via wifi, but so far it has not succeeded. Initially I sent the SSID I use for the 5 GHz band. Then I read the manual, which says 2.4 GHz only. So I sent the SSID and password I use for that. Still no luck. Perhaps it is still trying to use 5 GHz and failing. I hope to sort this out when I have time, as I want to put the device in my porch to help with deliveries that I often miss at my front door because I can't sprint there fast enough. This issue is why only 4 stars.There is an 'alarm' feature that will be useful if I can figure out what it does and how to configure it. I need to read the manual.Overall, I have learned a lot so far from getting this camera. It was worth what I paid. If I can solve the wifi problem, I may buy some more. I might update this review when I learn more.I also need to do some research on the web about security, as I have read in the past that surveillance cameras are often easy to hack, and I don't want anyone doing that. I am using very long passwords, and I hope that is enough to reduce the risk. This issue is common to all surveillance cameras, not just this particular one. Just something to be wary of.

Im not a reviewer...I just buy stuff and use it....but in this instance I feel the need to let the world know.Less than £30, delivered to your door and 5 mins set up......im not sure what people expect for their money, but this is todays technology at an unbelievably low price.we brought it to keep an eye on the house while we were abroad....open the app. you can pan, tilt, zoom around the room...even look out of the window for a real time weather report, all in clear crisp HD, it can also record direct to SD card.When you're not at home it just gives you peace of mind that all is OK. It does exactly what we wanted, as a first venture into the world of IP cameras, we were not sure what the budget end of the market would buy us,but this far exceeds any expectations.....we are genuinely impressed, so much so we are looking to buy an outdoor camera to view the driveway/cars.

Initial setup took 5 frustrating attempts eventually started to work just as I was about to give up. Worked perfectly for 2 months then stopped.Tried tirelessly to reset and reconfigure to no avail just will not work.It connects looks like its working for about 3 seconds then stops.

update：After half year happy experience, asked to re-login, and not able to log in again. Have to throw it away.========-Pro:Good build quality.very clear image.Connect quickly.360 degree viewing very easyNightvision very sharp,the infrared lights powerful and can reach far.Con: hope the control of direction can be more responsive. Still works fine though.Very happy for the product.

Very poor quality overall, sound particularly very poor. Three star overall rating for price.

Really good picture quality. Performs reasonably well in low light too without IR. Good options / easy to configure on the app too. Streams well. My big gripe is ironically the setting up. The booklet instructions are misleading, plus the auto WiFi setup didnt work at all. I bought 2 and they both behaved the same way in failing to setup. I found I could only get them on WiFi if I did it through ethernet first, and then went into the options to further change its settings. Note it doesnt come with SD card, but you can still use it as a standard live streaming camera without. Not sure it should be marketed as a cloud product (as theres no apparant cloud service tied to it?) but Im sure you could set it up if the FTP works etc. Havent tried that yet though. The audio isnt the best, but its ok. Overall great for the price.
