I've had the HOTT 711T CD player for a few weeks. Its sound quality is very nice, especially with Japanese SHM-CDs. This HOTT unit is able to bring out all the clarity that SHM-CDs have to offer -- from the faintest taps on the hi-hat to the booming bass and kick drum. Its circuitry can handle all that in its every-day, default mode. But this player, in addition to the default no-equalizer setting, has five separate EQ settings. The five EQ tones are to suit your tastes when listening to particular musical or spoken content--be it jazz, rock'n'roll, classical, pop, and even BBS, which stands for "Bass Boost System" function. Or you can opt for "Flat," which disables the EQ settings.The earphone jack is 3.5mm. In-ear-monitors (IEM or earbuds) with an amplifier would really bring out the sound of your favorite recordings. The earphone jack is powered, so you can use the earphone jack as an output when connecting it to an amplifier. Then just plug your earbuds into the headphone output on the amplifier. Even if you only have ordinary CDs that are not SHM-CD or HDCD, the HOTT CD player, combined with an amplifier, will knock your socks off. (The HOTT unit plays both SHM-CDs and HDCDs).To turn the CD player on or off, you simply press the "play" (right arrow) button.ASP means Anti-Shock Protection, which this unit has. You can turn off the ASP protection if you want. ASP tells the CD player to use its memory chip to store about 45 seconds of content as soon as you hit Play. If you jar the unit, while walking, jogging, or bike riding, you don't hear any skips because you're actually hearing the 45-second sample that's in the player's memory. As the unit spins the CD, it continuously adds to the 45-second buffer.But the grand feature that the HOTT CD player is its sound system. It is equipped with the latest advanced chip for HIFI decoding. Its high bitrate and its sampling rate provide a HIFI lossless sound quality.The player also plays homemade CDs of mp3 tracks. Buttons on the top of the unit allow you to navigate your mp3 content. Tracks can be in formats mp3 and wma. Any kind of burned CD will play in this unit.Bluetooth (wireless transmission) / AUX output (wired transmission) are part of this player.

Received the CD player. Plugged it in to charge. Tried to use it but did not work, I could not turn the CD player on. I followed the Q&A paper to trouble shoot the CD player but still did not work.

I have a lot of old CDs and had no where to play them till now works good in my car and sounds great with Bluetooth

Bought this so my teen daughter could listen to her kpop CDs and introduce her to my ancient CD collection. After fiddling a bit, we paired the player to her headphones, and a Bluetooth speaker so she can listen either way. No skipping issues as of yet, but she mostly uses it in one place.

I had to return the first because it was nonfunctional, but was not supplied a return shipping label, and so paid $15.00 out of pocket. The replacement is functional to date.

Good Friday works good

Just because this item has Bluetooth and auxiliary line connectivity, it DOESN'T mean your car stereo or multimedia system will play CD formatted files (*.cda). After purchasing a new car (LEXUS) I had to go through a 236-page manual to find out WHY this CD player doesn't interface with my car. My car sees it as a Bluetooth device BUT WON'T play the music because it doesn't have the ability to translate the files into sound. So, before you buy this or any other CD player product, check to see if your stereo will even play the format. Does this unit work, sure if you use earplugs and drive with a Walkman plugged into your ear. The cutoff year for Lexus was 2021 so older cars might still play well with this device.
