Another enjoyable yarn
A good thriller which moves apace and keeps the reader gripped. The characters and their various motives are well developed and convincing. The authors notes at the end give the story added dimension..

A pause for thought.
An engaging & narrative led book with a familiar storyline. HOWEVER, the twists included lead to an interesting denouement. The fact based story may be familiar to many but there are several new lines introduced to lead the story into new areas of research. Thoroughly enjoyed & recommended.

The Messiah Secret
This was the first book by this author that I have read. The story is a kind of archaeological detective story and moves at a brisk pace . My attention was held and the book is well written . The two heroes on the search for the secret of the title are a divorced couple , a worker for the British Museum and her ex husband ,a detective in the Kent Police . A thing that irritated me somewhat and began to grate was the big part the woman plays in the story ,although she has hardly any experience unlike the detective who is well used to investigations of the kind here . However, it is her that has all the say and she comes across as a real know-all !There have been a lot of novels of this kind and they all follow the same course of having a go at Christianity. That is fair enough and it sells books . However the secret revealed at the conclusion of this book made me wince as I am a Christian and if I believed this I would not be able to believe or have any faith at all.Nevertheless I recommend the book as a good read even if the end of the book left me somewhat dispirited .

Great Religious Thriller
Another enthralling read from Becker. Once agAin I have learned a whole new list of facts andKnowledge. The story romps along from England to Egypt sand India. The twists and turns keep you on your toes and although "light of the world" had been a dead give away the ending leas well conceived.

Enjoyable novel
This is a realistic story though some of the relationships are quite improbable. I won't explain this as it is easy to see and does not detract from the story significantly. I would describe it as a medium action/adventure story on a religious background. James clearly has researched the subject matter and I became fascinated by the story within the adventure. The post story historical explanation is quite.mind blowing to anyone who has not read the histories of regions as researched by James. I will definitely read more of these books

Gripping
An old story told with so much detail, it could well be truth. I love ancient storyline mixed with modern day adventure. Couldn't ask for better than this.

The Messiah Secret
Move over Dan Brown, Steve Berry, and Raymond Khoury. There's a new historical-fiction author in town. Recent offerings by James Becker take the genre to a new level. The Messiah Secret is no exception. The concept objective is old--but neatly drawn story lines converging with a surprize ending twist is brand new. A fast paced, scene changing, action thriller! Becker's engaging dialogue and scene details puts you right into the action. Well researched locations and described military hardware employed suggests first-hand operational knowledge. A must read!

another good one
I commute. So I go through a lot of books on my ninety minute trip into the office each day. This was a good book in the line with the first two well researched and fun for a long boring commute

Great ending
Loved the storyline. Great ending. I learned a lot in the story that truly made me wonder. The research for the story had to have taken much time

Bronson is clueless
Bronson falls in the most obvious traps, he is never prepared and never anticipate his enemies. It’s also unclear where a low level museum scientist and a police officer draw financial resources from to finance their expeditions.
