My teenage son started driving lessons a month after I paid off my car. I figured this was cheap insurance. I plan on logging a couple hundred hours of driving with him and my daughter who will begin driving soon as well. I didn’t like how the universal bracket fit so I opted for drilling a couple holes in the floorboard. They cannot be seen with the floor mat over it and still…..I rather have a couple holes than a fender bender. I would recommend this product. It is sturdy and works well.

Is The paddle spring is weak and inefficient to overcome cable friction despite of the use of a teflon lubricant.It caused the brakes to not fully retract. Adjusted the cable for more slack to overcome this issue but the passenger side travel(stroke) was too small to engage the brake paddle correctly to get strong enough brakes. Instructions were in chinese. It did not work for me and was returned.

This braking device is not cheap but the way I look at it, if it will prevent just 1 fender bender, the deductible alone is more expensive. Fairly easy & straightforward to install if you watch the video before you start. It's pretty hefty so no need to screw into the floorpan. The extension bar is good enough to stabilize the base & pulley on the driver side. The cable is long enough to route behind & around the center console. It gives confidence to both driver & instructor with less yelling & praying. I would also recommend a rear view camera to minimize blind spots for the instructor.

Great idea for helping train a new driver. Easy to install and there are videos available to help if needed. Can be used without mounting it due to its own weight, or you can bolt it in if you don't mind some repair work if you remove it. No issues while using it. Definitely found it very helpful for peace of mind that the car was not going to be totally out of control of a licensed driver.

ordered to assist with teaching my son to drive but unable to install correctly because the instructions are not in english and the QR Code does not work, I tried to message the company but that link didn't work either on the Amazon site. Terrible process, unless the instructions or site it updated this is a waste of time and money ordering.. The few instructions on the ordering site give some guidance to install but not specific enough to install safely to use on the open roads..

The package arrived in a good shape. I was excited about it because my friend would finally feel comfortable teaching me how to drive in traffic. The equipment seemed to be complete and sturdy but the user manual was not good enough to figure out how to install it safely. We did not have enough confidence in this product. We also did not want to pay a technician to install it. We ended up not using it.
