I actually use it to catch birds that get trapped on my porch when the wind blowsopen the screen. It works really good for that purpose and doesn't hurt the birdsand it reaches them where my arm can't. So even though I don't have an aquarium Igive it 5 stars.

I have had this for a while now and am very happy with the net. I like the extension so that it is smaller to store but easy to reach the bottom of my 55 gallon tank

It fell apart as it came out of the box. Super glue will fix it.

I'm definitely not using this product for its intended purpose. That being said, this thing is great for a typical SUM pump (SUMP) maintenance. The arm extends exactly enough for a standard depth of a typical pump setup. The small net and the overall durability works great to remove debris and any small objects floating in the well. I can only surmise that given my tasks for the item, it will work just as effectively for a less industrial application for which it was intended.

This works great. I no longer have to put my hand down in the tank when needing to scoop something. Less stress on my fish.

The construction of the net is fine, but the design has an issue. It's got an extendable wand that's great to extend the reach, but the part you hold spins freely from the part that extends. So when I move or twist my hand that motion does not extend to the actual net, instead I'm just moving the wand. Another downside is the wand is smooth so after my hands get wet it's hard to grip it. That, coupled with the spinning motion, makes it hard to catch anything. I tried working with this for awhile but I got frustrated and bought another net with a non-extendable handle.

It works perfect. It's strong.

This is the 2nd net I bought. Really wanted to like them. Both nets lasted less than a week. The expanding 3 parts fell apart . They have these very small little tads that hold the pieces together. When you expand the net these don't hold and everything pulls apart. Don't waist your money like I said I got a second net hoping it was a bad 1st one. It's a design flaw.

Love this! It reached the bottom of my 55 gallon tank which is exactly what I needed. The nets I can get locally just are NOT long enough. This one is worth the cost for sure.Update: I bought this in July. 2017, and it is now November, 2017 - no tears, no bends - still works perfectly! My 55 gallon has an infestation of pond snails, and I've been able to catch pretty much all of them with this net.
