"Crimson Peak: The Art of Darkness" is a wonderful art book related to the gothic movie “Crimson Peak” by Guillermo Del Toro.The book tells everything about the movie, i.e. cast, plot, locations, set, costumes, conceptual artwork, paintings, props, ghosts, backstage information and so on. All the pages are full of colors and pictures, especially set pictures and screenshots. A large section is dedicated to Allerdale Hall, the crumbling mansion that is a main character in the plot.In each section the reader will find some detachable items such as biographies, pictures, costume sketches and even the letter that Thomas writes to Edith. In the pocket at the end of the book there is another surprise: the movie poster !The edition quality is very good. It is a product that will really make Crimson Peak and Del Toro fans happy, a must have !

I never knew I could be in awe of a book but I am! Just skimming through the book and you can see visuals meet the beautiful standard of the movie (if that makes sense?) Some people might think its pricey for a book but once you buy it you can clearly see why it is that price. It has various sticky out bits/flippy pages etc and even a little present at the back. I can't really talk much about context as I'm going to start reading it tonight but it has been forwarded by Del Toro himself so should be packed full of information. The book is especially useful for anyone wanting to get into the film industry!

Absolutely gorgeous, wonderful book. Bought this as an early birthday present for myself after going to see the movie and absolutely loving everything about it. The book has a huge amount of information on the movie, it's characters, set, design and production. Loads of wonderful concept art and stills from the film. Lovely book, I am so happy with it.

My sister is a film and tv make up artist and she is totality obsessed with Crimson Peak. She is in love with this book. Stunning details that I didn't know we're there when I purchased it. Could not be happier, great value!

The visual aspect of the book delighted me, it has been beautifully made. The only thing, I could complain about a bit, is the fact, that printed letters sometimes leave marks on the opposite pages, so it unfortunately, spoil the photographs.

Such a beautiful book. I love getting the production design insight to such beautiful films. Absolutely worth the price for any cinephile, Del Toro fan or art department people

The book is gorgeous, but it has the problem stated before, page glued and ink transfer. Mine had minor issues, so it's not a big deal. Could have been better though

The book itself is absolutely beautifully designed and crafted, lots of little extras from the film, a great insight into the characters' backgrounds and the work which went into the sets and costumes

Packed with amazing insight, gorgeous pictures, and all sorts of little tactile treasures, I would absolutely recommend it for any fans of Crimson Peak, or any horror-genre creators looking to study!

Il libro è uno spettacolo per gli occhi di chi ha amato io film. Ci trasporta nelle sue location, approfondendo ogni aspetto di esso ed aiutando il lettore a conoscere meglio i personaggi protagonisti del film. Le foto all'interno sono bellissime, le stampe preziose, gli sketch degli abiti sono stupendi. Gli inserti del libro sono tanti e ben fatti, come ad esempio la lettera di Thomas Sharpe a Edith. In più in fondo al libro sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa nel trovare un poster del film in una tasca segreta. Lo consiglio se siete amanti del Gotico, di Crimson Peak o semplicemente fan di Guillermo Del Toro!

撮影風景の写真や、衣装設定、撮影秘話など色々と書かれています。あと、トムヒドルストンが劇中でミアワシコウスカへ手紙などの紙系の小道具が入ってました。しかし、印刷技術が良くない？のか、新品を買ったのにもかかわらずページ同士が張り付いていて、剥がすと一方のページにもう一方のページのプリントが張り付いてしまい、剥がれたところはプリントが剥がれて白い地が見える始末…。これはどうにもならないんだろうか…。

Amo el libro! desde la presentación en pasta dura, pasando por las contraportadas internas bellamente adornadas con una ilustración que te transporta a la infancia de los hermanos Sharp, hasta los múltiples detalles a lo largo de las páginas: Cartas, fotos, biografías de los personajes... y desde luego, las fotografías del detrás de cámaras y la propia historia de la la novela. Realmente hace honor a su nombre: The Art Of Darkness. Sin duda un título que todo fan de Guillermo del Toro debería tener.
