What a mind-blowing fast paced mystery thriller. A page turner for sure I was glued till the very end. Very well written easy to follow has some amazing twists. Few of them u can anticipate but few really are unpredictable. Loved the read one of the finest i read by far by Frieda McFadden cant wait to discover more of her work.

I've read ither books by her, and at times it can get repetitive. It happened with this one. Although the plot twist was insane, it felt like I didn't enjoy it as much.

The book is twisted and full of twists. It will keep you guessing till the end. The characters and their secrets are way too intriguing. The setting is so good. The book has mystery and suspense. Natalie Farrell gets caught in a crime. When Dawn doesn’t show up to the office, Natalie decides to visit her home. But when she visit her home, she witness strange things and the backdoor is open with unbolted Wine bottle kept in kitchen. There are blood drops. And when investigation is done, the officer gets enough evidence against her. Maybe Dawn was jealous of her. But Natalie didn’t had any such thing for her. She was happy with her boyfriend Caleb. But even her boyfriend seems to be mysterious. The ending was so unpredictable. It’s a twisted game of cat and mouse. Will Natalie be able to find her way out of it? There is a talk about turtles and the ending is so frightening.

Till now whatever I have read from her. She never disappoints me. You just can't get it right until the very end, she plays with your minds so beautifully.

This book is a page turner thriller from Freida McFadden. This time I was a little disappointed. I didn’t get the usual magical attraction, or the twists and turns that usually pull me towards her book. However, it’s a light thriller with a fantastic peaceful ending. It’s a cooperate based story, with jealousy among the workers, the bullying and mental torture of cooperate offices, the effects of bullying on one’s mental health, and more. The main character is Natalie, the beautiful, young sales person at a nutritional company. The other characters like Dawn, Caleb and Seth also have equal importance in the twists and turns. The story starts when Dawn doesn’t show up one day to the office. A worried Natalie gets an anonymous call for help, and when Natalie starts searching her missing coworker Dawn in her room, she finds a pool of blood. Natalie becomes the prime suspect for Dawn’s alleged murder. All the proof was against her. But what is the truth, and how could someone fake a murder, setting fake proof and ruin someone’s life? All is expressed in this book. The author gave hints in between of the twist, and if we think or scrutinize the writing we can surely find the culprit. But no matter the clues, the fantastic twist surprises us all. In this story I like the way she explains the depth of relations.: the relationship between the friends, lovers and the unexpected people who can completely change a life. Even the harsh truth when the parents won’t support the kids in a time of difficulty is added. Altogether, I can suggest this book for lovers of light thrillers, and I liked it a lot. Shiny Ajit

Ce livre m'a beaucoup plus et donné beaucoup d'heures de lecture. On ne s'attend pas du tout à sa conclusion.

Far more interesting than the locked door. Natalie and Dawn are really interesting characters and I like that they so flawed and you feel for them and at the same time they completely surprise you. I could not stop reading this one because it was fast pace. The characters were really fun and there were twists that you didn’t see coming. What I thought was truly unrealistic was that when they found out that the certain party had not been murdered they were no repercussions. I felt that was a bit off beat. Another flaw in the plot was if you take out money from an account and put it back inisn’t there a trial? Despite of its few flaws, I really enjoyed the story.

英語初心者の自分でも引き込まれて、いつものどんどん読んでしまえるフリーダ・マクファデンのミステリー。今回も引き込まれて、寝るのも忘れて読み進んでしまいました。 強く生きるとは？特に女性が強く生きるとは？ まずは一見、美しく人好きがするけれども、実は周りに柔軟に対応しながら、したたかに利害を常に計算して生きているナタリーと、個性的と言われてしまい、地道に自分に忠実に生きざるを得ない、愛し方も一途なドーンの、生まれ持った身体的・精神的な資質の違いは、どちらが正しくてどちらが間違っているのかという問題でもなく、両者とも素直に、精一杯自分を生きていることは間違いない。 私は両者とも愛すべき人間、愛すべき自分の一部の様に感じました。 一見弱い立場のものは実は社会的には強く、全てを持っている様に見える人間は注目を集めるけれども、それだけに批判も受けやすい。その事を知っているからこそ、策略を使って生き延びるナタリーは、実はドーンに劣らず健気な女性とも言えるかも。 そしてこの作品を読んでしまった後、果たして自分は強く生きたいのかどうか…？と、今後折りに触れ、幸せとは何かという選択を間違えない様 、一度立ち止まってしまう思考回路ができてしまいそうです。 そしてそう考えてしまう自分は、資本主義の影響を受けているのか、この物語はアメリカの縮図なのか？ 今後の作品にも期待します！
