Beautiful box and sound.

This is a cute little music box. The box itself is perfectly spooky being mostly black with the images carved to show the natural wood underneath. The images they chose to put on all sides (even the inside!) of the box are cute and tastefully done. The song this music box plays is "This is Halloween," and the section of the song chosen works pretty well on repeat, thankfully, because my kids like to wind it up nonstop lol. Music boxes these days are made pretty cheaply, and they don't sound as nice as they used to... that being said, this music box sounds pretty decent-- it could sound better, but it could definitely sound a lot worse.

The media could not be loaded.  The box is extremely well made - every piece fits together perfectly, and all of the engraved pictures are well done. The music box mechanism works just fine. Unfortunately, the song it plays is not quite right - it’s like they changed the song enough to not get into copyright trouble! (Hopefully you can hear it in my video.) I watched a video of a very similar music box (also Nightmare themed), and the song was spot-on and the sound quality was much better.

Yes so cute music box. It does look like the picture and I love the song it plays. ITs very well made and the darkness of it just pops out from the others. And who doesn't love nightmare before christmas. Perfect !

This music box has recognizable character etchings on all sides, making it instantly a hit for a fan. It is a simple music box, nothing overly elaborate but it good for the price point.The music portion of it sounds like every music box I've owned. It wound up a little stiffly the first time. Subsequent windings were smooth.The music box makes a nice decorative piece or gift. It's perfect for Halloween or Christmas.

Not a traditional music box. It doesn't play automatically when you open it. Not a issue for me. I adore it. The colors are clear and beautiful. It's small enough to not take a lot of space but big enough I can see the design across the room. It's lightweight and I think anyone who loves Nightmare Before Christmas would be excited to receive it as a gift. Fair price too.
