I was able to follow along the ifixit guide to replace the battery in my left earbud.I did not disconnect the ZIF connector.The included tools were definitely enough (I had no problems with the glue), but to remove the battery from the underside (step 9), I used a pointed spudger I already had instead of the two flat spudgers included.

If you know what you're doing with a heat gun and are very careful, you can pull open a pair of earbuds and replace the batteries with this kit.Instead of dropping $250+ on a new pair of Sony earbuds, I bought 2 of these and fixed them like new. Now they get well over 8 hours battery life.

Not great at all. Went through the trouble to replace the batteries. The battery life is not great at all. Maybe about 30% of what original new would be. That means the capacity is definitely not as stated.By the way don't get mixed up like I did. This is only ONE PIECE. Since everyone uses 2 ear buds.....you need to buy 2. The cost is expensive for what it is. Anyway, I don't recommend buying this anyway. I would have bought the original Germany ones instead of these China stuff, but I could not find them.My experience was poor.....yours may be better...you shouldn't hold your breath though. Both independent battery orders last about the same maybe 1-2 hours max. for what should be 5-6 hours.

Great kit for replacing the crappy original battery that comes in the earbuds.

Works perfectly, saved my earphones, despite the price, my earphones are new, again.

This battery looked identical to the one I removed from my Sony earbud. I used an iFixIt guide and the process wasn't too bad. Basically heat up the earbud with a hair dryer and slowly, but firmly separate it at the seam.They did provide some small tools with the battery (some plastic tweezers and I think a small screw driver), but neither were of much use. I used some plastic spudgers from a previous project and a metal ship to help pry the halves apart.I'm not sure if this holds a charge like it did when 100% new as I've had the earbuds for at least a year now-- but it does make it through the day no problem. My OEM battery started to die after ~15 minutes and I am incredibly happy I was able to swap out the battery instead of having to replace the earbuds.

This "New" battery is draining quicker then my old battery. My stock "bad" battery on my XM4 would only last 30 mins before dying. Replaced the battery last night, charged up the case/buds lastnight. Went to the gym this morning, and buds started fully charged, 15 mins in i heard "low battery, powing off" I was/am soooo disappointed.
