Fond Memories
This brings back fond memories from when I was a kid.I'm not quite old enough to have watched them the first time around (the 60s/early 70s), but I caught the repeats (in the 80s). I remember watching them on a little B&W TV when my parents thought I was tucked up in bed fast asleep. . . or doing homework. . . or tidying my room - whatever I was supposed to be doing at the time, I wasn't. I hope my mother doesn't read this. Ah-hem, anyway, there were a few classics on at the time and this series was one of my fondest.36 Discs, 8 Seasons, 253 Episodes and One Motion Picture (which is the modern (2005) movie with Will Ferrell)The box is nice - simple card construction and slots for the discs.*One word of warning - some of the discs had come loose in mine, so be careful when opening*I eagerly put in the first DVD today and sat back. I wasn't expecting much - because I thought that I was remembering them through rose-tinted glasses - but these are just as fun as I remembered. I got that "Warm & Fuzzy" feeling as the nostalgia kicked in.The transfer isn't bad - a bit grainy, if I'm honest, but still good considering the age. And, a lot better than watching on that little B&W TV I had back in the 80s with that daft round antenna that I permanently needed to tweak/hold high in the air while standing on one leg and grabbing the bedside lamp. And, it's in colour! Who knew! Ha!Moving on - some nice extras right from the off on disc one with documentaries etc. So looking forward to those too.The menu is nice and simple and nostalgic to boot.Overall, very happy with this purchase and looking forward to my Bewitched Marathon.Oh, and you've gotta love the nose wiggle!

As Good As I Remembered
I'm currently working my way through this boxset, watching a couple of episodes each night before bed. I'm almost at the end of Series Four and I'll admit to feeling sad, knowing that Dick York, the original Darrin, will bow out in Series Five due to ill health.I have been thoroughly enjoying my journey back to childhood, even if the sexism does make me wince these days! If you can put aside the fact that Darrin "forbids" Samantha to use the gifts she was born with and then tries to extend that ban to his own daughter, well you can just sit back and enjoy the magical ride.Sam, played by the wonderful Elizabeth Montgomery, is a fabulous character, caught between her love for her traditional, mortal husband and her exotic, rather mischievous magical mother, Endora - a magnificent creation played by Agnes Moorehead.Uncle Arthur, Cousin Serena, Dr Bombay and the adorable Aunt Clara are just some of the witch/warlock relatives and friends of Samantha, but there's a strong "mortal" supporting cast, too. I particularly love Larry Tate, that "Old Son of a Gun" and "Mother Stevens", Darrin's Mum, with her endless sick headaches!Special mention should be made of the utterly bewitching Tabatha/Tabitha, played initially by the Murphy twins and later by Erin alone. Fabulous acting from one so young and a smile to light the screen.I will miss Dick York, who plays the hapless Darrin so beautifully. I only vaguely remember his replacement, so it will be interesting to see how I react to him as an adult.Containing every episode of Bewitched made plus a bonus disc of the movie starring Nicole Kidman, this is a real treat and at a bargain price, too. I'm looking forward to watching the rest, but then again, I don't want it to end. Enchanting!

Beware poor quality
This is a great light comedy series and so needed t this time. However buyer beware the first disc freezes at episode5 and will not then respond to any commands. I had the same problem with “I dream of Jeannie” collection, both are manufactured by Sony. Other reviewers have commented on this problem. I haven’t returned the box set as this will play on my lap top unlike the other one. Sony obviously have some manufacturing issues with these sets as I don’t have any issues with discs in my collection. So buyer beware.

Funny and magical series
I have soon completed the third season of "Bewitched" and I love it just like I did watching it as a little girl. The episodes have perfect comedy length and the plots are funny and magical!Elisabeth Montgomery and Dick York are wonderful as Samantha and Darren. But Agnes Moorehead is just amazeing as Samanthas mother - who also is a witch.Samantha tryes hard to be a normal human and housewife, and don't use magic on Darrens request. But it is easier said than done as both Darren and Samantha often find themselves in guite strange and unike situations. Then Samanthas wiggly node are their only way out of trouble and back to"normality".I reccomend this great Complete box set of "Bewitched" to everyone who love the series - and watched it back in time.If you haven't seen the series, but loved the film with Nicole Kidman (like I do), the chanses are great that you will like the "Bewitched " series too.
