I have owned the watch for a month
This is my second B&M. I have owned the watch for a month. So far the watch consistently gains about 1 minute per week, which I think is acceptable for a mechanical watch at this price range. I do hope the accuracy won't slip as time goes by.The size of the watch is marginally bigger than I prefer. It is comfortable to wear considering my preference for lighter and slimmer watches. The clasp buckle adds a feel of luxury when taking the watch on and off. The very dark brown leather strap and the dark blue hands offer subtle distinction from other similar looking watches. The hands actually look a lot less blue in most viewing condition than the pictures suggest. At the back, there is only a small window displaying the mechanics compared to others with a full back display. This was a purchase consideration but once I bought the watch, it matters to me less than I thought. The front matters more. The classic and simple design is tasteful in a low key way. The colors of the dial, markings and hands create a sharp looking contrast and make time reading effortless. My other B&M has three sub-dials on it. While beautiful in its own way, that watch requires a second or two of my concentration just to read out the time because of the busy surface, not to mention the difficulty in reading the small sub-dials.As my daily watch, the price point is reasonable enough to keep me from feeling self-conscious and being overly protective of it. The purchase experience from Amazon was smooth and no-thrill. It is totally worth giving up the "retail experience" and save over a thousand bucks off retail price (the online price seems to have risen since I bought). I guess the real test to Amazon will come if and when the watch requires repair within the 24 month warranty period. After that, it will be back to the hands of B&M services, with which I have some experience through my other 15-year-old B&M watch. I won't wander off topic here but in sum, B&M services is what one might expect from a comparable "luxury" brand....professional, responsive and unfortunately not cheap.

Running too fast
When I bought this watch 4 months ago, it seemed a bit faster running than the Official US Time. Since it is an automatic watch, some range of inaccuracy can be acceptable. 4 months later, it runs more than a minute faster a day, almost 40 minutes faster a month. It is too much.. Nice looking watch but..

Looks Nice/Becomes Magnetized Easily
This was a nice looking piece and the leather strap with deployment clasp was very comfortable. The partially-exposed movement on the case-back was neat. The time on my watch became highly unreliable after only wearing for a few months in an office environment. Rather than sending the watch to Baume & Mercier for service I performed some research and determined that my watch had become magnetized. I purchased a de-magnetizer from Amazon and was able to quickly resolve that issue. Although this piece looks nice, I feel that there are much better watches to choose from in this price range. I likely will never buy another Baume & Mercier. At a much lower price point this might be a desirable watch though.

A Dressy Watch
Overall, I like this watch! I've only had the watch for a month, so I can't comment on its mechanical reliability or longevity. Just a few comments on the design of the watch. It's a classy design, but it's also a very dressy looking watch; more so than I expected. So it doesn't go well with casual attire. The silver dial looks almost white under most lighting. The hands, although blue in the picture, appear almost black from a frontal view. They only show the cool blue color when viewed from certain angles. The bezel is very thin, so it makes the dial appear fairly large, especially if you have a small wrist. Weight wise, the watch is surprisingly light, lighter than my Tag quartz chronograph. The exhibition back is actually only a small circular window towards the top of the back. It's not a full crystal back like I've seen on automatic watches by Oris or Longines. The watch has been very accurate in keeping time so far. Amazon's price was very competitive, and the delivery was fast.

It's a really great, classy watch
It's a really great, classy watch. Doesn't pack a statement punch like a Patek Philippe Calatrava, but has all the looks for 1/20th the price. The performance of the watch and reliability has been great. I don't need the worry of wearing $25K on my wrist and worrying about muggings, scratches, etc. Plenty of understated elegance. The silver face with blue dial and brown croc strap just works.

What a disappointment!
I bought this watch in Dec. of 2010. It was running a little bit slow at first. I sent it back to the vendor, Perfect Timing who adjusted it. Then it ran a little fast. So I sent it back again but found that it rans 2-3 minutes fast after 3-4 days and occasionally would jump forward or backward a few minutes. After a year and a half of resetting the time every 2-3 days I sent it to Baume & Mercier for them to fix. They claimed that under a microscope they could see that it had taken an impact and wasn't covered by the warranty. So, i paid another $400 for them to fix it. It got better but was still off a little. Then last night I noticed that it was 15 minutes slow. I wear it every day so it is always fully wound.I've finally and regretfully come to the conclusion that it's just an expensive, pretty, wristband. It will never be as accurate as my $12 NY Giants watch. it will also be my last B&M watch.Which is sad.

Very Good Watch
I really love this watch. no problems have shown up. The condition was perfect. very nice dress watch. I have had for about a month and all signs point to a great purchase. I was very skeptical about buying a watch online.
