Electronics for Guitarists

Used for building an amplifier circuit for a built in speaker on a guitar, invaluable information!

The book is incredibly detailed, even more than not engineers would expect. I, myself had to buy a physics book to remember/learn a lot of physics concepts. You will not only guitars eletronics, which is just one chapter of the book, but also detailed explanation on effects pedals and even more accurate lessons on amps circuits. Neverheless the book is absolutely complete. A bit rough for non-physicists/engineers but complete.

As an electrical engineer I love how this book is not scared of math. If you really want to understand electricity then you need to understand the mathematics of electricity. Because this book is not afraid to teach you what you need to know I give it 10/10. Not to mention the content is top notch and so exhaustive

A good treatment of solid state and analog circuits skewed to the guitar player's bias. Amplifiers, effects, power supplies... I learned a lot.

price is to high realy not much new information in it for the high price

Amazing book and I got it really quick.

Don't let the title fool you, this is not a book for non-engineers. It is yet another in a long line of books written by an engineer for engineers. The odd thing about this one is in the preface it actually states that it is written with the lay person in mind (as well as engineers). Literally within the first few pages he starts out with formulas with no primer for how to read the formula and apply it, etc. Please don't get me wrong. I'm sure its a good book. I have a few people I trust from amp forums that are giving it kudo's. But they are all math-minded people or engineers. I don't see why we need another book about guitar gear for engineers. Someone will eventually get wise and write a book for the hundreds and thousands of guitarists out there that want to know how to do some simple troubleshooting etc., but this isn't it. Very frustrating.

packed full of good info

this book contains some good information on guitar based circuits but i was unable to read the schematics on my kindle edition. Only small images are available. schematics do not enlarge when selected like other electronics books i serious oversite which makes this but usless for me.

This book is everything you need and much more. Infinite source of knowledge.
