Though this soap is called lightening bar. It doesn’t bleach your skin, I’m dark-skin and it cleared my dark-spots so pretty effective and gave me a nice glow and it did lighten my skin in a natural way so I’d recommend . Only complaint is that its smaller than I thought. It isn’t like a full sized soap but it comes with 4 in each pack and each soap is sealed. I think it’s worth it and if you have dry skin just get a hood moisturizer. The one I bought also had a slight citrus scent like a sweet orange.

I’ve been using this product on & off for two years now & the main thing I would like to tell people is to START SLOW!!! All of the reviews saying it disrupts their skin barrier is because they’re using it for too long, putting too much, they’re dehydrated, or they’re using other skin care products that have chemical actives in them already. I personally only use it for my body since I use prescription retinoid and using both of them combined damages my skin SO badly. It smells very citrusy & will go quickly if you leave it in the shower with hot water. I honestly recommend using your hands if you’re going to use it on your face. uUsing a wash cloth will make you use too much since it lathers. LESS IT MORE!! Please avoid the eye area & always moisturize!!! ALSO last time i ordered it it didn’t come with a little net bag now it does which is so soft, cute, & functional ^.^

I've heard so much hype about this soap in the Asian community and have wanted to try it for a long time. I finally got my hands on the product, and here are my thoughts.First impression: it has a gentle citrus scent, which is nice. The soap lathers super well, and my skin felt very clean. However, it’s not a moisturizing soap at all, so I usually follow up with a liquid body wash to soften my skin.One thing to note is that this soap lasts a long time, which is great. As for the whitening effect, which is the main goal, I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and haven't seen any major changes yet. Keep in mind, though, that I’m also using other lotions and exfoliators for additional skin-lightening effects. I’m hopeful for results, as I believe you need to go through a few bars before seeing a significant difference.

I used this for two months, originally starting with a q-tip and using as a spot treatment but then moved to once a day and increased to twice a day as I felt I wasn’t seeing results. It did burn occasionally while using but I didn’t pay too much attention to that, probably should have lol. This product just wasn’t for me and I wanted to love it after hearing a great review from a trusted YouTuber but personally, I feel that it caused more breakouts for me and more breakouts means more dark spots, ultimately defeating it’s intended purpose. It could’ve also been the products I used in combination with this, which I don’t think were harsh or should have interacted negatively (Paula Choice’s Resist weightless advanced repairing toner, COSRX advanced snail 96 mucin, Glymed living cell clarifier and cerave healing ointment) but it is what it is. I’m just glad I went with the 2 bars instead of 4 but I now have an extra bar that’s going to be tossed.September 2024 - Updating this because I decided to give it another try. I use it about once a day every other day or so. I still get light hives around the eye area after usage but it’s nowhere near as bad as it was the first time. I also haven’t noticed any new breakouts since using it *knock on wood* I did switch up my routine & am now using the Cerave facial wash (acne control cleanser & hydrating cream to foam) along with Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum & the niacinamide brightening toner (if you haven’t got these in your arsenal run now. They are HIGHLY recommended) & the snail mucin is also still in usage along with Topical’s faded cream. I’m seeing good results with these products so I’m hoping adding the soap back in will give that extra boost but it could go either way. If you prefer not to use the soap please look into the Good Molecules and Topicals product I listed here because those are my holy grail.

I love this soap it’s works really nice & smells nice it lathers great this is one of my fav soaps wish they made them bigger though. It’s clears u up in a week skin is soft makes u bright & nice it’s worth the money.

I use this soap every other day on certain areas of my body that need lightening & exfoliate the areas on the opposite days. I noticed lightening after a month so with consistency, it definitely works. The scent is not overbearing as well. Two cons are that the acid content is potent/strong so you might get some irritation if using it for the first time & it can be quite drying so you definitely have to moisturize after use.

You guys, the SMELL. Yum! I wasn't expecting it to smell that good but, wow. I have not had a breakout or new discoloration since buying. I gave it a 4-star because this soap has a very bright color and it just gets and stains, everywhere!

Excellent product, made a huge difference to my skin colour. Removes tan easily and blemishes fade faster.
