I’ve been using the DroneMask 2 for a little while now, and I have to say — it really impressed me. I got it mostly out of curiosity, wondering if it could make flying with my phone feel more immersive. Now that I’ve used it a few times, I don’t think I’ll go back to just staring at my screen. Surprisingly Comfortable First off, the mask is actually comfortable to wear. It looks big in photos, but once it’s on, it fits well and doesn’t feel heavy. The padding is soft and doesn’t dig in anywhere, and there’s enough adjustment to get a snug but not annoying fit. I’ve worn it for longer sessions (20+ minutes) without it bothering me at all. Incredible Immersion This is where it really shines. It turns your phone into a giant FPV screen — no splitting the image or VR-style weirdness. It’s just your full phone display, magnified and super clear. It honestly makes flying way more immersive. You get that locked-in, “in the cockpit” feeling without needing to buy an expensive set of FPV goggles. Works with Most Apps I use it with DJI Fly, and it works great. You just drop your phone in, line it up, and you’re good to go. No extra setup or pairing — the experience is simple but effective. You can still use the touch screen if you need to tap something quickly, but in general, once you’re in the air, you don’t need to touch anything. Image Quality The optics are clean and sharp. I was worried it might distort the image or feel blurry around the edges, but it’s surprisingly clear. Obviously, it depends a bit on your phone’s screen resolution, but if you’ve got a halfway decent phone, it looks fantastic. A Few Small Things It’s not for everyone. If you need to check your surroundings a lot while flying, popping the mask off and on isn’t as quick as just glancing at your screen. Also, there’s no built-in fan or anything like that, so on really hot days, it can get a bit warm inside. But those are small trade-offs considering how much better it makes the flying experience. Final Thoughts If you’re flying with your phone and want a more immersive experience without jumping straight into full FPV goggles, DroneMask 2 is 100% worth it. It’s well-built, surprisingly comfortable, and just makes flying more fun. I didn’t expect to like it this much, but now it’s my go-to for any relaxed flight session.

This product contains no electronics. It turns your cell phone into a FPV or VR headset. It is extremely well made and works extremely well. My iPhone 15 Pro Max fits inside, even with Otterbox armor on. The result is a headset with an image that is superior to my DJI Goggles 3. I can wear reading glasses with it, but it extends pretty far, allowing me to use it without my glasses. Its very comfortable to wear despite my heavy phone, stays put and blocks out light, even the little finger ports that allow you to touch the phone screen do a great job blocking out the light. I was very skeptical of this product, and I tried every way I could think of to add a USB/HDMI headset to my drone but nothing was compatible. This is a very easy solution that really works very well and, in my opinion, is worth the relatively high price.

I wear contacts, and for whatever reason, the phone ends up just a little too close to my eyeballs. If the slide adjustment went another 1" away, it would be perfect. I'm sure your experience will vary, depending on your vision. Other than that, it's a good product that is a good workaround for the full-on goggles kit.

Works well as described. Clear vision through the lenses. The "adjustable focal length" consists on the forward part of the mask being able to slide forward up to an inch or so to have the phone closer or farther apart from the eyes. 4 stars instead of 5 because I believe it's overpriced.

It’s great! Dies the job and cheap

I assume it works for some people.., but like similar ones with 1/10 of price. The telescoping is not enough(phone is too close), so makes me nauseous after 2min. unlike real FPV goggles. The packaging, marketing..etc. are done so well, where combined with the price ($170+) made me think that there must be some magic to it. I thought it can’t be another cardboard VR set type of stuff sold for this price after all these years. I was wrong. It was another box with lens strapped around your head for your phone to be magnified. It does not work in the way I would want to use, but made me try to like it so hard to justify the cost leading to waste more time than if it were $17. I consider the price/time was paid for the lesson to learn the power of marketing including pricing and YouTube promoting. It helped me to remind myself how much of sucker I am. Another crap in my junk pile for shameful show and tell to future myself when I move.

Works great, a whole new experience of flying. Highly recommend this.

This item is a joke. All it does is move your iPhone from the controller to in front of your face. And then you have to concentrate real hard so that you don’t have double vision. I am afraid I will jeopardize my drone by using this item. I had to forget trying to watch a movie. you have to close one eye at a time so that you don’t see two of everything. The price was good compared to others. maybe the others might work. and forget about it being comfortable. I tried adjusting the straps every way possible. nothing worked. I could wear it a max of five minutes. it killed my nose. I would suggest saving the money and putting it towards a more expensive one that might work.

Falta mucho por mejorar El lente es lo único que "vale la pena" Como està en la foto me llegó con ciertas imperfecciones y llego sucio, no se si le dieron uno ya usado La parte donde asienta la nariz (foto) no tiene colchón o protector lo cual hace que lastime Dependiendo el clima pero es muy factible que se empañe, no convenció, estoy pensando en devolverlo. Fuera de eso la calidad de imagen que se ve es buena con iphone pero siento también no vale lo que cuesta definitivamente.

Works perfectly. For those of us with older drones without BT this mask is incredible. Norwegian designed. Flying drones is fun enough but these elevate that experience to new heights. Pun intended

There is a fair amount of light bleed through the mask where the plastic sleeve joins with the frontal part. There is a thin gap between the two where the mask can slide to adjust focal point where light enters. This is a design flaw and not damage or defect. Sort of defeats the purpose of the mask if light can come in. Noticed on first use, straight out of the box and brand new. Might use electric tape to rectify. I would not buy this product again as for the price one expects it to function as promised.

Works better than I ever expected. Fits nice and room for readers. NOTE: A USB-C female to USB-C female connector needed to attach the enclosed extension. The original connector for the controller must be used and in the correct orientation and directly into controller. The 90 deg connector bridged to extension with the Female to Female connector available at amazon. The Polycot one works for me.
