USELESS!!! DO NOT BUY! The other negative reviewers were using it correctly and telling the truth.
Extremely disappointing. Product description page does not mention anywhere that it does not work for adult beverages. They actually advertise that you can make cocktails. When it arrives though, and you've gotten it carefully unpacked out of it's giant box, and unloaded to where it needs to go without tilting it because the refrigerant, which it is an unwieldy and heavy device that you are going to want two people to both unpack and move around.Once you get it all set up and read the instructions, of which oh wait, there are no directions, either in the box or online on the Amazon listing for how to run it or properly set it up.Beyond that though, once you figure out how to run it by pressing the proper order and combination of buttons, then you read the front ATTENTION sticker at the bottom, and it says "This machine can't make alcoholic drinks." And you go, that must just be saying that for legal liability reasons, and you try the recipe you know works because you got it from your friends restaurant that sells alcoholic slushies. Nope.Hours later, doesn't work, does gets cool but doesn't slush up. Oh and also the left side would stop running and not finish even getting cold and makes a beeping warning sound but no idea why.Waste of time and energy that would have been avoided if the company weren't dishonest in it's representation and portrayal of their product. Like why even make a device that can't get cold enough to make what most everyone wants to make with slushies?Additionally the design or construction seems poor in that the containers seals to not seem great and you can see buildup of ingredients that couldn't be cleaned out even by careful hand washing, with super hot water and pressure, so it's a sanitary concern as well.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, softserve, margaritas, slushies, chilled beverages!
So first thing... This unit has a startup sequence you must follow. If the unit does not start, you did not follow the sequence. The control panel will refuse to turn on if you rush it.Flip the first switch, count to 5 or10. Flip the second switch, count to 5 or 10. Then press the power button, and it will turn on. If it does not, try again. I used to design computers, this startup problem is a common problem for computer circuits, as noise on the power supply can crash the CPU before it even starts. So start one circuit at a time. If this were my design, I would assert reset until power had been on for 3 full seconds, but I digress. The point is if you have a unit that won't turn on, you may be rushing the startup sequence. My unit came with the wrong manual, I'm guessing this is covered in the correct manual. If you need support, DO NOT call/contact seller through amazon, amazon doesn't send your questions to the seller, instead they are very unhelpful and will have you running in circles. Call vevor directly by getting their number from vevor.com. I assume they will be helpful, but they were closed when I called, so I figured it out myself. My unit would not start, but it turns out there is a reason it has two different power switches, and a power button.I'll extend my review after I get a manual, but I was able to figure out how to use the machine, and how to adjust the settings, so not having the correct manual has not been a problem.I have a two barrel ICEE machine as well, and while I like it, it is a carbonated machine with syrup and water connections, as well as a lot of very complicates maintenance procedures and expensive parts. My wife tells me that carbonated slushy is light and smooth, but she like no carbonation better, so this inexpensive machine checks all the boxes for her, and gets me out of the business of all of the work and supplies that go into an ICEE machine. And don't get me started on what all I had to do to get the ICEE machine set up (same as a Slurpee machine) and the extra work I had to do to get it to make frozen alcohol drinks.Get an optical brix meter for sugar that covers the 0 to 20 range at least, so you can get the sugar content right. I found canned sodas to work fine, but they are right on the edge of not having enough sugar. If you don't have a brix meter ($20 on amazon) then you can try putting a small scoop of sugar in to make sure you have enough. Depending on which soda you use, the sugar content may be too low, so adding sugar will be required. REAL sugar/fructose/corn syrup drinks are REQUIRED, artificially sweetened drinks will not work unless you know the chemistry required to replace the sugar with something else like glycerin (I don't recommend). If you do not have enough sugar, hard ice will form on the drum and break the agitator. This is true for ALL slushy/ICEE/Slurpee machines. The (real)sugar makes soft ice with small crystals that don't stick to the freezing cylinder. ICEE and Slurpee syrup is modified for soft-freezing using glycerin, but glycerin has a laxative effect on some people. Just use sugar. You CAN use carbonated soda and have something ICEE-like for a while, but the carbonation bleeds off quickly.Excellent machine! Yeah, it is somewhat inexpensively constructed, but it is affordable as a result... My ICEE machine was very expensive. Also, the feet will scratch, so set something under them... I scratched up my dining room table, not happy about that... had the table 40 years, and /now/ I scratch it for the first time.... bummer! There is a cheaper model, but it is under-powered and will not freeze alcohol drinks. Even if you never make frozen alcohol drinks, the extra powerful compressor will mean the unit cools faster and lasts longer. For a single-tank small unit for the home or small business, this is the one to buy. And it is sold under other brands for quite a bit more, so the vevor brand is the one you probably want.

A WASTE
Bought this machine as an early christmas present for my husband. We received the machine Friday and tried it Saturday. It froze slightly and then it gave 3 different error codes. It doesn't have a reset button. Contacted manufacturer and was told to buy a voltage stabilizer or contact Amazon for a refund. This machine is too expensive itself and to buy other parts makes it even more expensive. This is a waste of time and money. Please read this review and others and don't waste your time.

Machine works great but broken feet
I’ve been very excited about having a slushy machine for a while. I found this one to have a great value for the price to how much slushy you get. It has been great morale for the staff as we experiment with different drinks.I am disappointed that the back feet on the machine were not attached and appeared to have no way to be attached. So anytime I move the machine the feet fall off. This has scratched my counter. I wanted to see if there was a way to replace the feet, but the only option was to have a refund so I will deal with the broken.

Noisy, yet somewhat wonderful.
If you can get past the industrial noise level, you get an industrial drink maker. Freezes up slush in less than half an hour from room temperature. Controls are pretty easy to master. Manual was for a different control panel, but we’re working through that. All told, it’s a net gain for our entertaining needs. We haven’t made ice cream yet, but I have no doubt it’ll be just fine.
