Having 6 extra shells right there is very handy. Of course, I don’t expect to get in a prolonged defensive engagement, but if I did I’d have plenty of 12 gauge ammo at hand. Essentially, it looks cool and makes the shotgun heavier. Minimal practical use for it unless we get invaded…
