Helps with annoying diesel noise
This eliminates the crackle of a diesel exhaust when on the accelerator pedal. It also eliminates to droning at highway speeds, while maintaining a nice whistle sound. This muffler is not coated, nor is it stainless. It will begin to look ugly over time.

Nice rumble
Purchased a mbrp exhaust system. It was way too loud and drones. I purchased this muffler to tone down the sound and drone. Worked great and sounds good.

This item did what it was meant to do

Quiet
The muffler on my 2010 duramax sounds the same as the factory muffler. Very quiet in the cab and no drone at all. I tried it with the straight pile and at 1500 rpm’s there was a low drone sound. Once the muffler was added it was gone can only hear the engine purr and the tires. When you start the vehicle it has a lower noise but sounds good and you can hear the turbo. I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone who wants to quiet their truck down. Very happy with the purchase.

Perfect!
I installed MBRP 4” exhaust on 12 valve Cummins but it was too loud, this muffler is perfect. The truck has a great sound and I can still hear the turbo. MBRP has an exhaust section that this perfectly replaces so it installed in minutes.
