Large corkscrews for more interesting dishes
This review is for Marulo Fusilloni, Italian Pasta Bronze Die Cut Artisan, durum wheat semolina pasta, 1.1 pound (500g, 17.6 oz). As received, this pasta comes in a clear bag inside a fancy box with a cover that opens upward and is gold metallic foil lined - this is a beautiful presentation when opening or if giving as a gift. This packaging fits with its premium price and protects the pasta. On the other hand, the box is larger than needed to fit the volume of pasta inside and the box construction is more complex than a typical box – this seems wasteful and makes it more difficult to store. The pasta itself tastes excellent with a slightly chewy texture, typical of bronze die cut Italian pasta. Like most Italian pasta, it may take a bit longer to cook. The rougher die cut surface holds sauce well. The fusilloni is a large version of fusilli or corkscrews. They expand upon cooking to be huge and make an impressive assembled pasta dish. Useful for main dishes, eg, mac and cheese, or pasta salads, eg, a more interesting tuna salad.

Excellent pasta
This is a remarkably good pasta. It definitely has some extra chew/bite to it in a very good way. When cooked and eaten without sauce or seasoning, it has a nicer flavor than your average pasta. This seems closer to a freshly made pasta rather than a boxed pasta. This pasta also does a better job of holding onto sauce/seasoning than you are average pasta, both because of the spiral design and because of the better surface texture. This pasta is not inexpensive, but you definitely get a better eating experience for that price, and they sell multiple-box packages at a price that is quite reasonable. This is an excellent pasta. We really like it.

Just as described
This is a very good quality pasta. I love that it is 100% wheat. It cooked up nicely when following the directions on the package. I am not sure it is worth the current price of $10.99, but I suppose if pasta were hard to find in your area, it may be. The quality is definitely there, so if you're looking for a good pasta, this would be one of them.

Great thick noodles that won't break apart.
It took about 10-12 minutes to cook these noodles to a perfect al dente texture. Great tasting, simple ingredients, perfect thickness. I loved that these spirals stayed intact, no breaking apart or shredding, they stayed perfectly whole and were fun to eat. We actually used them as a base for our thick turkey chili. Typical we use small macaroni noodles but with this thick chili these large fusilli noodles were perfect, a great hearty meal that serves alot of people.

Fun Pasta Night
This pasta was a really fun, and special treat for our family. We did a homemade tomato meat sauce to pair it with, and it was delicious! The pasta has a noticeable amount of flour still on it when you get it in the box, and adds to the water once you put it in to cook. Don't forget to save some of your pasta water for your sauce, especially with this pasta!!!It binded to the sauce wonderfully and tasted really amazing. It was actually even better the second day reheated as leftovers!! We used almost the whole box for our pasta night, but it was worth it!We definitely will be buying it again, though it is pricier than other pastas - it is fun to do for special occasions and would make a fun date night if you like to cook for your partner.

Great pasta!
This pasta was great! It's very filling so it's lasting alot longer than i thought. It did take a bit longer than seven minutes to finish though, probably around 11-12 minutes at a rolling boil. I had it with some ragu and meatballs, I plan to use the rest to make some delicious Mac and cheese.

Big pasta spirals and so fluffy and good
I'm not supposed to be eating pasta, but I can't help it. And when I saw how big these pasta spirals were (compared to the smaller, regular sized ones I'm used to), I was excited to try them. I cooked them a little beyond al dente, and oh my, are they good. I always salt my water when I boil it. They came out so fluffy and delicious! Just before they were fully cooked, I dumped out most of the water and then added some pasta sauce. I only kept it on the stove long enough for the sauce to get hot and I served with freshly grated parmesan cheese. This will have to be my new cheat item in my diet!

Martha Stewart One Pan Pasta
4.16.23~ Made 'Marulo' Fusilloni, which is like fusilli & rigatoni had a baby, with Martha Stewart's recipe for 'One Pan Pasta'.If you've never tried, the recipe is on Google in Print and Video. It's a super simple recipe that in one pot you cook in salted & oiled water~Pasta, Onion, Garlic & Tomatoes, stuff we all have in our homeYes I've substituted can tomato and sun dried. Please don't tell Martha. The one place you can't compromise is you need dry pasta that cooks like fresh.Usually use Colavita fettuccini nests.Marulo's Fusilloni cooks up like fresh and the spirals hold the oil & veg.It was a really fantastic dish 7 the pasta held it's own level of quality. My only qualm is, I can get Fresh Pasta for 8 bucks a pound.Colavita Nests are about 5. 10 bucks for One Box just seems out of balance. Is it a good pasta, Yes. Is it competitive in a heavily saturated pasta market? Maybe. If it looks good to you, absolutely give it a shot.Wouldn't be my 1st choice vs a dish that needs fresh.Yet it's a worthy competitor based on al dente texture where you need a dry pasta.
