For the price, this is a fantastic tool. The quality feels top notch. The gun section is all metal and is textured in three areas for grip. I was using gloves and had no problem keeping a hold of the gun. The handle pulls back smoothly and evenly. I also like the way it dissembles very easily. The front portion simply screws off and you can wipe down the inside of the gun. The provided vinyl hose is also great quality. It is pretty thick and stays on the gun great. It does not leak or seep at the connection end. The hose is about 1/4 of an inch in diameter, so probably fine for changing most fluids, but if the hole is smaller than that, you will probably have a tough time getting the hose in.Overall it is a 5/5. I bought this because I didn't want to spend so much time with the smaller hand pumps that you have to pump five hundred thousand times. The 18oz capacity will let you fill/drain quicker. I was changing the power steering fluid and it only took about 3/4 of a pull to get all the fluid from my reservoir. Certainly would be helpful when changing differential oil or transfer case oil.Power steering fluid viscosity is like syrup. The gun did great. Had no problem sucking it up and spitting it out. I imagine it would do great with heavier oil. I will be changing my diff oil and will update this with the results.

In the past I used a turkey baster to clean out our 12ft diameter Intex pool. We would get a good whirlpool going in the water and wait 10 minutes for it all to settle. During whirlpool all the "stuff" collects in a nice pile right in the middle. I would get in with a turkey baster and a bucket and spend a few minutes sucking all the gunk out. With this suction gun it cuts the time down significantly because it can hold so much more. It works great, even when it's fully submerged in the water. It's solid, large, and easy to use, even for the kids.

I bought this to suck the oil out of the differential out of an older car (1981) that I am restoring. The hose is a little too big though, it's like 1/2" OD!. It fit into the fill hole in the diff but barely. So this didn't work. What I ended up doing was wrapping some tape on a piece of 1/4 or 3/8 clear tube and inserting it into this tube then wrapping the whole joint up real good with tape. Then I was able to insert the 1/4" tube into the diff and suck the fluid out. This worked fine, but took A LONG TIME!!. It only pulls out a little bit at a time so it took me over an hour of continual sucking and pumping out to empty the differential. Oh, the other thing is I put a small worm clamp on the hose by the sucker end to keep it on. The pump seems to be built well and is sturdy though.

Used several times (3) and it leaks all over the place!Also has rusted and squeaks super loud when trying to use it.! After posting this review I was immediately contacted within 24 hours by a customer service rep is an of them Tracy from this company. Tracy wanted to know what was the issue I was having with the device and I basically explained to her what the applications wer wanted to know what was the issue I was having with the device and I basically explained to her what the I was using this product for and what I was using inside of this product . Tracy immediately notified her quality control people and try to get an answer for me as I was not sure if the chemicals I was using with the reason why this device may have failed . I was basically using water but water for Florida which is highly chlorinated . Chase he advised me that the quality control team advised against using any type of water especially chlorinated water with this product as it can cause the issues that I had with it failing . Nevertheless even though it was actually my fault and using water which is not what this product is intended for Tracy immediately sent me a brand-new tool and shipped it free of charges. I am changing my review for the simple fact that this company really does I actually care about its customers and its products and also once again like to extend a very big thank you to Miss Tracy at the customer service department who was extremely helpful and really went above and beyond customer service in trying to resolve my issues. I would definitely buy from this company again and once again thank you Tracy Mintoncustomer service department...

The media could not be loaded. This is a suction pump, and there's not a lot to say, other than it's sturdy and it sucks... in a good way. It worked quite well for pulling some power steering fluid out of my van when I needed to replace the reservoir. For that purpose, it worked quite well. It's easy to disassemble and clean, if need be, and I recommend leaving some grease or oil around the rubber plunger because it's a tight fit.This is my first video review and it's about time I contributed something to the community here. Better than plastic versions, but still can have seal leak. Tube is not great, is very soft and loosens its fit quickly. But recommend this over any of the plastic versions. Use it to fill differential. It doesn't aspirate great, but if you open the front cap and pour the oil in, it dispenses well.

I use this to remove water from toilet bowls. I've had one for 5 years and am just replacing it because it looks old, but still works great!

Seldom reviewer, had to give this thing kudos for not spilling gear oil all over me like every other pump I have used. No leaks, the 1/2" hose fits perfectly (tight) into my Toyota fill ports for the differentials and transmission. No leaks, clean fill, high quality.

Gun is nice and functions well. Needs a tapered longer hose. To fat to fit in the transmission fill hole ( yes under the truck not the dipstick hole)

Awesome tool to remove or deposit fluids in awkward or hard to reach places, it did the job multiple times with no difficulty.
