well made, doesn't fall apart like others if dropped on concrete. I like the blue, will use black for something else in time. it's very study 6 digits is great for security... also if you want to use your birth month, day, 2 digit year as an easy to remember number

Product has a wide shackle (the Part that goes through a hasp loop or hook you are trying to lock) that easily turns. Plastic coated, easy to turn numbers (5) that have a raised button on the 0 numbers which makes it easy to turn. The lock combinations comes 0000 but is easily changed and this is described in instructions that accompany the lock. It says to be waterproof, we will see. I am using mine (I bought 2) to lock a front and back gate for a fenced pool. Required by law in NC. The locks are outside and so in about 6 months I will update and tell y’all if the numbers still turn. Past locks, even brass, lat only about a year in my high salt coastal community. But for now I am one happy camper (or swimmer).

Well the first lock wouldn't open after I set my code. Could have been user error but I don't believe so. Thankfully, 2 come in a pack. 4 stars for that. The 2nd one has been fine so far. Hopefully it will last throughout the rainy season without rusting. I'll update next year. I like the big keys with the white text.

As I age, I’ve become more reliant on reading glasses. This lock has been perfect because the numbers are large and they contrast against the black and blue so it has been a wonderful replacement for my other locks.

I was excited about getting this lock, but like so many other customers who bought this product, it didn't work. At 0–0–0–0–0, I pulled the metal loop open just fine. I then turned it 90 degrees, set a password, and clicked the metal loop back in. All was fine. When I tried it again, I couldn't click the metal loop back in. It wouldn't go.Since the container was a bit bent and ruffled up, I suspect (but I'm not sure) that the seller is simply re-selling all these mal-functioning locks in the hope that many people won't bother to go through the return process. I hate returning items. How do we get compensated for that hassle with defective products?By the way, "Wordlock" is a specific brand. I had a Wordlock lock that lasted over 10 years. Now that I'm trying to replace this lock, I see that some sellers are borrowing that name. This product doesn't have one tenth the quality of a real Wordlock lock. Shame!I am returning this item.

for 1 the lock to keep numbers in set place does not stay as it should - second after 50-100 cycles the lock arm jams when opening- must open 90 degrees to lock hole or it will jam same going closed it shifts side to side and jams going in tumbler

Right now I have the need to. lock and unlock a gate every time I leave. These locks replaced cute-looking cheaper red ones that were worthless as. the numerals were basically invisible on the metal. These locks are robust. The mechanism for turning the numbers is really solid. You can see the numbers boldly in high contrast. If it's totally dark, you will still need your car's brights, phone or a regular flashlight. This is no complaint.The only reason I removed one star may be my fault, a lack of understanding something basic. Here it is: When I have opened the lock, exited, and go to close it again? It never automatically goes in. I have to fiddle around, try about 3X then it goes in perfectly. It has never failed. But I worry each time. Maybe the Seller can address this process more clearly as I've never used a lock before. That said: I definitely recommend it.
