I had a loose leaf version that was purchased at a boot sale. This revised version is excellent for trips down memory lane or to settle a dispute. It also widens one s knowledge. It must be a boon for trivia freeks. I spend hours tracing the development of major Brands or previously unknown ones. Excellent refeence book, beats the TV for passing an evening or two. Very good value for money.

A great book because it so full of information about cars I remember from my youth. I like the fact the author gives his opinion along with the facts. One or two gaps.... but there were a lot of models. Show the book to a group of men of a certain age and the conversation and recollections just keep on coming. What a find!

Great and comprehensive book, just a pity it has no colour photos.

If you want a book that will give you a good overview of the cars that were manufactured between 1945 and 1970 then this will be a worthwhile purchase. There are good photographs of the models and a brief description.

Disappointed with this book, Every car is only shown in one small black and white photograph, not the glorious colour pics the cover displays.Half the joy of these old vehicles is the colours they were painted in.For the price i expected more.
