Excellent product but the Merkur Futur DE razor does not fit in the slot made for the razor so returned with regret

I bought this razor stand to replace a tatty old chrome and plastic stand. I must admit that I was a little disappointed when I tried to put my razor vertically on it (first photo) and like everyone else discovered that it didn't really work. When you look at it though, a razor is never going to hang vertically given the design of the stand. A razor will lie horizontally on it however (second photo) which makes picking it up considerably easier.

The description said it would hold any razor but it should have said safety razor, no good place for my straight razor but still an excellent stand for my brush.

OK. This delivery was delayed as we missed it the first time and we could not for the life of us think why on earth a lump of wood would be so important as to require a personal delivery. I mean , Its just wood isn't it. Well, ACTUALLY no it is not just wood, it is Haryali London superbly high class finished wooden Architecturally sculptured masterpiece which, if you say you wet shave with a razor, you cannot do so WITHOUT this piece sitting in your ensuite or bathroom. When you add your high class finished brush, ivory finished razor, you will just want to shave your face off. Love it.

brush holder part is too small diameter cut out to hold a standard brush, ive tried 3, none of which fit, then the brush holder also too close to base so unless you cut the bristles off your brush its not going to work and if you cut the bristles off then thats not going to work either. the razor holder is of some wierd design that again I have tried to hang multiple styles of razors again none will actuall sit in the groove. Try to return and it comes up as item not eligible for return. Not a happy bunny at all. Never known of this sort of issue with a product like this.

Pro: looks good, well made, nice presentation box so great if buying as a gift.Con: cut out for the shaving brush is too small and only fits travel size brushes.

Looks nice and sturdy, very disappointed though as both the razor slot and the brush holder are not suitable for regular size itemsThe retailer claims not no allow returns so I’ll be using my statutory rights to argue thisBeware before you buy, check the measurements
