Dear, the maximum load-bearing capacity of this large adhesive hooks can reach 44lb, but the premise is that the self-adhesive hook needs to be adhered to a smooth mirror wall, such as a ceramic tile marble wall, otherwise it will affect the adhesion and the load-bearing capacity cannot reach 44lb.

Hook not attached. You insert in opening and rests on closed bottom. Very secure.

How easy is it to remove the hooks from the wall (removing the adhesive)?

No. They stick pretty securely.

How well do they hold on painted concrete block?

Hold very well, actually , mine are still on after 30 days
