Black Replacement cable with Remote & Mic for iphone ipod ipad to Audio Technica ATH-M50x ATH-M40x Headphones

Can't get them to work perfectly with my ATH-M50x. The connection to the headphones is not intuitive/does not align nearly as well as it should. Hard to put in place and even harder to pull out of the headphones. The cable supplied with the headphones easily aligns and works very well, but unfortunately lacks a microphone that this replacement cable has. This cable also weakens the sound quite a lot. Sound quality is decent.

The cable looks very good when you take it out of the plastic wrap. It doesn't feel expensive but it looks solid.However I was really disappointed with the sound. I switched to this cable from the original cable on my ATH-M50Xs and the sound degradation is evident straight away.The sound is weakened as another has noted but also the frequency response of the headphone is altered with the mids being really recessed and the bass being uncontrolled. I did several A/B tests with this cable and the original one.Seems that there is some phase cancellation going on that shifts the frequencies in a weird way creating a hollow sound image.Really surprised as it should be just a cable and should not alter the sound in such short length.I would keep it as a backup cable but this was a pricey cable and I wouldn't want to sacrifice the excellent sound of the M50X with a weak link in the chain.Sending it back.

Depending on what you want it for, this can be useful. I mainly wanted it for the mic so that I am able to take phone calls when commuting and listening to my m50x's. For this it works perfectly. I am able to answer calls without taking out my phone and people can hear me clear enough.However I would not recommend it as a straight replacement for the original cable you get the the m50x's. There is definitely a decrease in sound quality.I am also disappointed that the volume buttons don't seem to work. I can play and pause music with the inline controls but volume or track changes hasn't worked at all.

A tad pricey. But was worth itAlso useful as an headset on PS4. Took me a while to realise it wasn't fully in at first, make sure you've got it in and locked properly

Pro: Das Kabel scheint gut gebaut zu sein. Kopfhörerkabel halten bei mir zwischen 6-12 Monate. Dieses habe ich nun 1,5 Jahre - und es tut noch. Klasse! Kontra: Fernbedienung und Mikrofon funktionieren weder mit meinem Mac noch mit meinem Android-Smartphone.

Trop tard bien sur pour le renvoyer. J'apprécierai un remboursement du vendeur...The cable only worked for 3 months. Sadly, even paying 20 euros for a cable is not enough to have a decent cable.Unfortunately it was too late to return it. I would appreciat a refund though...

The sound bottoms not work perfect!!!That's all...... But other things are ok, and it's fit on headphone like the original.
