Stores as described, but SLOW SLOW SLOW to write
I bought this (unknown brand) based on price and 1TB capacity thinking all similar flash drives are equal in that they use similar chips/components. I WAS WRONG! Once a file is written to this drive, there is no problem The problem is having enough patience to download files... any file. It took nearly 30 minutes to downloaded a single 30MB file! Once it was done, I inserted a PNY branded flash drive to download the same file. It took 20 seconds! I then tested/timed it again on a 5MB file. It took nearly 5 minutes to download, but took the PNY 5 seconds! My suggestion is if you have multiple files to back-up onto this flash, do so overnight. Once transferred, the files seem to be fine, it's just getting there that is the most problematic. Knowing that the writing speed is so slow I am going to have to return it and buy a name branded flash (PNY or SanDisk).

It had the right amount of storage and helped me hold an update well worth the money

Cant copy large files to drive
The USB dive will not accept large files. I purchased it to backup large dmg video files. The usb will accept small files but not dmg files bigger than 1GB. Macbook Process returns error ( code -36) Reformatting and verifying does not help. I will return the item.

Slow
I usually never leave reviews unless the product is Awesome or it just failed so miserably I have I feel that is my duty to warn others. This is one of those products. My god this thing is slow. Via a 3.0 USB this thing should zip through the 200mb file in no time. Nope, it doesn't matter how many times I format it or switch ports or even another PC it's a turtle. You have been warned.

Does not work with PS5
I bought this as external storage for PS5. It is not compatible for that. PS5 rejected it.

Very slow to copy my data drive
This was by far the slowest drive like this ever to copy my data drive. Have done many times on a 256 G drive or smaller. But when tried this drive….pretty much just quit copying even though tried many times, changed parameters, etc. but finally threw in trash can.Just did not like to have a large amount of data copied to it at one time.
