Easy to set up and use. Sound quality is rather good!
I got this as I have a Apple air play only dock and I've switched to Android. I love this dock so I've looked for ways to use it with my new phone. I like to stream Spotify to it and air play was brilliant. So I've researched the internet and came across this item. It's credit card size, can recieve and transmit, the cable connectors aren't flimsy and it was easy to pair with my new phone. The sound isn't bad at all and I'm quite happy with it... so far!You also get an airplane headphone connector so you can listen to your own headphones on the flight. In fact, you can pair 2 sets of headphones so it saves on another set of adapters.

There is a learning curve!
I struggled to get any headphones to connect to the YMOO because the instructions are primarily in symbols with coloured dots and I am very colour-blind!Increasingly frustrated, I was just about to send them back when I eventually got one pair of headphones to connect and then another pair. I'm still not quite sure how I did it.Bear with me, because the actual (A) & (B) 'phones I connected may well be very important to you:(A) Sony WH-1000XM3: Modern Sony etc 'phones may not connect so do check before buying! These have SBC, LDAC, apX & aptX HD codecs. The YMOO doesn't have the LDAC codec but the aptX HD codec should give excellent results - sadly not yet though.(B) Shure SE535s with a Shure BT2 lead. The significance is that it has SBC, aptX HD & aptX Low Latency(LL) codecs. This combination should therefore be capable of insignificant latency with the YMOO and very high quality audio - sadly not yet though. Both combinations worked and both had low enough latency that TV is watchable without being too annoying. That was a good start BUT decent audio quality is eluding me. I suspect that both 'phones are currently connecting to the YMOO using the SBC codec which is only capable of low quality audio. With my good quality 'phones, I desperately need to be able to use aptX HD or preferably the aptX LL codec. There are coloured symbols in the instructions that APPEAR to be telling me how to change the codec but I have not yet understood the instruction symbols because the coloured dots and rings mean very little to me. I need words, not symbols. If I work it out I will update this post. In the mean-time I have given it 4 stars because it does work and it works without dreadful latency. One fear I have not yet eliminated is that the ADC built in to the WMOO is so poor that it is incapable of coding and sending a high quality signal to my 'phones regardless of what codec is being used. I will update this post if I find out; in the meantime, it is good enough for TV only, not audio.

For Those Long Haul Flights
On aircraft don’t bother with the free plug in headsets, just use your own Bluetooth headphones and plug this into the plane’s headphone socket. Long battery life - lasted full 11 hours London to Bangkok and good range in the plane good sound when up and about over full length of the plane. Not expensive either. Bargain and won’t be without it in the future when travelling.

NOT low latency
To minimise latency issues, I shopped around - even checking the aptX web site where this unit was on their list of aptX devices. So I bought two - one to TX, one to RX with wired headphones. That way, there was nothing else in the way, and I should achieve around better than 90ms (and a target of 35ms) latency that Qualcomm's aptX promises.TX/RX paired successfully (I did this in a Bluetooth-free zone to avoid it trying to connect to other devices), and the light-blue indicator showed that it was paired aptX, but there was a marked delay making it completely unsuitable for live music. So I measured the latency - it was 240ms, which is unusable.Pairing with a cheap pair of Bluetooth headphones - delay was STILL 240ms. So looks like aptX isn't working. This is even far too much for watching TV - that's a 10-frame delay in the UK.When paired, the sound quality is excellent and Bluetooth pairing worked well. Range was also very good. They'll be returned, and Qualcomm/aptX informed.

Great for music but not use as an instrument monitor / holdback.
Nicely packed and easy to use, but no use for instrument holdback/monitor as there is too much lag (delay) in the transmission. You hear the note you played about a second after you played.

Bluetooth transmitter that 'works as it says on the box'.
This Bluetooth transmitter works perfectly, it was easy to setup and so far hasn't drop its signal at all which another brand bought did regularly. Both my wife and I live in a flat and are getting a bit deaf, this allows us to watch the television with the sound at a level we can hear without bothering the neighbours.

Connects easily and superior to airplane earphones.
I really struggle to make out dialogue with movies on planes using the provided earphones, so thought I would take a look at buying an adaptor so I could use my own bluetooth ones. A lot of the ones I found were expensive so thought I would give this one a go since the price was affordable. I haven't had any many issues with it so far with connecting my own device and I haven't used if for a full long haul flight, but the battery seems decent. I watched a 3 hour film and it was fine the whole time. Only issue I have found is trying to connect two devices at the same time. For reference I use Apple airpods with it so if you use the same, you won't have any issues.
