As described, these pocket combs have smooth surfaces and rounded points that are much more comfortable and easy on your scalp and hair. They are also thicker and stronger than other pocket combs that I've bought. And I actually like the small size so they fit easily in a back pocket and you don't feel a big lump when you sit down. These will be my "go to" pocket combs from now on. It's also nice to see they're still made in England and the quality and craftsmanship is top notch!

This is the first comb I’ve used that’s actually useful to style my very fine, straight hair for when I travel lightly. Usually I use a soft bristle boar brush from the same manufacturer that I love, but it’s bulkier to travel with so I take this comb instead. The teeth are close enough that it does brush my hair rather than just pass through. I wouldn’t recommend for very dense/long hair as it might be harder to hold onto and spacing of the teeth wouldn’t allow it to pass through so easily. Quality is great and feels like a solid acetate type plastic.

For such a fine toothed comb, it feel very substatial and should last a long while. Was a bit smaller than I thought, but it fit better in my pocket when needed.

I've been getting tired of the cheapo combs sold at WalMart, Walgreens, etc., so I started perusing combs on Amazon by rating. Of course, the Kents popped up to the top quickly. I'd never heard of them, but after reading a couple of dozen glowing reviews, I purchased three of these - one for my pocket, one for the bath, and one for reserve.If there is a pocket comb 'archetype', the Kent 113 is it. This thing oozes quality construction. It's a smidge on the thick side, but the teeth taper uniformly to a comfortable width. Combing my (thinning) hair is actually a treat, since there's no scraping, dragging, or snagging when using it. It really does comb well. And it fits _perfectly_ inside my wallet. (My wife says using it reminds her of the zipper on her Coach purse, it's so smooth.)Since the 113 is a bit short, I may try the Kent 143 for the bath and keep the 113s for pocket use. I don't know how long they'll last in my pocket (Those cheap Ace combs are usually good for about a month before I start losing teeth), but if I break one of the Kents, I'm enough of a fan now to replace it immediately. (I expect it will be years before I see a broken tooth on my Kent 113.) Highly recommended.Update: 9/26/2016: It's been over 2-1/2 years since I first purchased these combs. Since then, I've been carrying the same comb in my pocket and have not lost a single tooth out of that comb. This comb has actually more than paid for itself, because I would have replaced half dozen or more WalMart specials in the same time period. IMLTHO: These are the best combs available, bar none.Update: 6/30/2018: It's now 4-1/2 years and the same original comb has yet to lose a single tooth after being carried in my wallet every day and used multiple times per week. Doesn't get more awesomer than that...

I’ve had a few beard combs in my day. Been using this one for a while now and have basically stopped using my other comb. The way this one is machined allows it to move through the hairs more efficiently. Other combs i’ve used have sharp edges if you inspect them carefully. Those edges can cause hairs to catch and be tugged on and pulled more frequently. It’s worth it to spend a few extra bucks to buy one that’s manufactured with a little more care IMO. Fits nicely in the pocket but be careful. I’ve dropped mine by accident a few times when pulling my cell phone or whatever out of my pocket. It’s so inconspicuous it will tag along for the ride and you’ll end up having to back track your steps to find it laying on the ground somewhere. One downside of this comb that didn’t matter to me but might to other consumers is the Kent branding on the comb quickly rubbed off. This obviously doesn’t effect the performance of the comb at all but it does make you wonder why Kent wouldn’t just go the extra mile and emboss or stamp their brand name on the comb so that it lasts. Now no-one will know i’m using a Kent comb when i’m brushing my insanely luscious, freshly shampooo’d and conditioned beard. That’s bad for advertising.

I get it, a comb is a comb. Why spend more than a dollar or two for something that's basically disposable? Trust me, these are different. I don't exactly know what "hand made" means for this product, but I do know that this is made of a higher quality material than a typical drug store or barber shop comb. It's sturdier and is meant to last. For me, the extra money is worth it.

I have been using different models of the Kent comb for a few a few years now.My daily carry is model FOTG. It’s very small and truly is easy to forget in my shirt pocket or pants.After using many brands of combs and brushes and selecting different types of combs over the years, this is by far my favorite for my mustache and beard. My facial hair is usually more on the longer side than most men.When you receive your comb, it’s very difficult to avoid and discard the package, It’s something that makes you want to keep it. Very beautifully designed and strong package gives a great representation of the actual product inside. With many things in life when you have a great presentation, usually the main product taste or feels as good and it’s the same with the Kent. I am very pleased with Kent combs to say the least.I wish manufacturing in a whole could come back to a great wholehearted workmanship! You just have to trust that it is the best thing that has ever happened to your hair and head. I was sceptical about the review as well, but it proved to be worth it when I received it and tried. Yes, it is not the cheapest one, but the price is just one-two cups of coffee.
