essie Original Nail Polish, 13.5ml, 504 Dressed To The 90s

This is a brilliant colour that has a very subtle two tone. Is very hard wearing and lasted a long time without chipping on my toes. Did take two coats to get that really deep gloss but dried very quickly. It has a good brush that kept its shape well.

I always enjoy using Essie nail polishes because they are so easy to apply. Like the other Essie polishes, this range has the wide, flat brushes that can cover most nails in a single sweep. The polish is neither too thick or too thin, and it goes on very smoothly.The 'Dressed to the 90s' shade is a very deep, dark purple that could be mistaken for black in some lights. It has a slight gloss, and in certain lights you can pick out the tiny holographic strands in it which look lovely, but those wanting something really sparkly or shiny should look elsewhere. This is more of a classy colour than an out-and-out party polish.I found that like most Essie polishes, it wasn't the longest lasting but with a top coat and a primer it does last a couple of days without chipping. With the impressively deep colour and the ease of application, I'd recommend it.

Dressed to the nineties is a very dark purple with a subtle green shimmer shot through. The shimmer shows up in different lights.One coat of nearly enough for coverage but two coats gives full and glossy coverage.I really like Essie polishes and buy them in preference to other brands. They tend to be good value for good quality, long lasting polishes. The colour range is enormous.Definitely recommend.

This is a very deep purple colour, with a slight sparkle to it. Perfect for the party season. Reasonably priced, and pretty good staying power too.

A lovely deep purple blue with hues of green and gold, very pretty and festive. Would look great with some nail art. The trick I found is not to overload your brush but don’t wipe all of the varnish off otherwise it will drag. Really pleased.

High quality product with a bold colour. Applies smoothly and evenly. Two coats, finished between coats under an LED lamp and finished with a similarly-branded topcoat, give a professional-looking finish that lasts for the majority of the week. Doesn't chip off easily. Removes fine with soaked foils, with little to no staining on the nail with the right prep.

Very nice quality nail varnish that is easy to apply neatly, dries fast and is quite hard wearing. I like this topped off with a glittery top coat - lasts all week and looks great. Really nice base colour and definitely a shade that is reminiscent of the 90s!

This shade is called "Dressed to the 90s" and comes from a beautiful range of other 90s-inspired colours by Essie. It is a dark purple with a gorgeous green-blue shimmer. The brush is quite wide which makes application quick and easy. I was able to do this without making too much mess. This colour wears well and survives quite a few days without chipping, when used with a base and topcoat. It's a great shade for autumn/winter or evening.
