I used these bags to store pillows, blankets, a full size back rest. There are directions and I followed pictures too. I really got the hang of assembly and use by the second bag. One of the bags wouldn't vacuum seal. The pump works well but, you must pump quite a bit. A vacuum cleaner hose will not work. The directions say to re-check the bag seal every 3-4 months, I will not like that but, I don't know how other vacuum bags work. I decided to try them because the price was reasonable compared to others. Amazon delivered them very quickly. I would recommend them with the caveat about re-checking every 3 or 4 months and, having to pump 30-40 times. The parts in my package included: The folded bags, 4 zipper pulls to seal the opening, a hand pump, plastic caps to close the air port after pumping and a small plastic bag that holds all plastic parts. Overall, I'm glad I tried them and loved Amazon's quick delivery. My Amazon deliveries are exemplary, they deliver right to my front door! I can't walk with a great deal of help and I'd have to walk up and down a full set of steps. I thank them every time.

Out of the 8 bags purchased, 7 worked great, 1 was a dud and the air wouldn't come out. The kit did not come with instructions, so I'm providing them: To use these bags you simply fill them up to the line indicated on the bag, not higher. Then for faster and more effective suction, use a vacuum attachment to suck the air out of the bag by first unscrewing the circular white cap found on the top front portion of each bag, then placing your circular vacuum attachment on top and turning on your vacuum. I recommend kneeling or sitting on the bag and pressing around it while using the vacuum, to get the most air out and to help it shrink the most. After you suck the air out you just screw the white circular cap back on. The kit does come with a pump, but it takes much longer to get the air out of the bag utilizing that, which is why I recommend using a circular vacuum attachment; the one on my Hoover tunnel swivel vacuum worked great.We used these bags to hold bed comforters :twin (2), queen (1) and king (2) sized, blankets: twin (6), queen (1) and king (4) and throw (6) sized, and 6 pillows. We put them in our 26' moving truck as fillers to help prevent things from shifting during transit. They also took up far less space being so compacted down. Upon arrival to a much colder state, 1600 miles away, we were pleased that they were still tight and compacted. I think and hope we will be able to get a second use out of them as we may be moving again in 2 months. These may not look as nice as official Zip-Loc ones I've bought in the past, however, they appear to be more durable and hold the same amount of items. So I can recommend them. The only reason for the 4/5 rating is because 1/8 bags didn't work and we couldn't use it.

I bought these to downsize my wardrobe for moving purposes. The do hold a lot of clothes, and vacuum sealed up pretty well. I did not like the closure ziplock. Two of them never seemed to line up very well. I notice some of the other brands come with a little tool that helps "zip" these into place. The plastic seems brittle and im not sure how long they will last, or how long they will keep the vacuum seal. Time will tell.

I love using these things for winter storage, but for some reason no fault of mine about every 5th or sixth one doesn't keep the air in. So you can store it. It just doesn't compress which is the whole point

Touching the bags made me think it was cheap, might be, but has held up to a one time use. I just needed these for a move and so far they held up. Not sure they will be useable later, but I could be wrong. So cheap enough for at least a move.

The bags were easy to get at lease 2 comforters and 3 Mexican blankets in! I am cleaning out a linen closet and was very pleased with the jumbo bags I ordered! They are easy to vacuum seal and store away! They are very strong and really jumbo. I put 4 winter coats and sweaters all in one! I would recommend these to anyone! Great for saving baby clothes and beddings might not need jumbo for that though! The size the show is actually the size you get!

These are great! I didn’t bother with the slides and just took my time to pinch the entire length of the zip lock which is a little tedious but worth the effort to ensure no air leaks back in. Once most of the seal was closed I pushed out as much air as I could and Dyson cordless wouldn’t fit over the valve so I used the hand pump so it took a bit longer but worked just fine for me. My stuff has been all packed up for weeks and everything is still all sealed up and compact.
