Coat Caddy - Coat & Jacket Hanger for Car

Love this coat hanger! It's sturdy and holds even the heaviest of coats. I put a couple of rubber bands on mine to make it less slippery, but other than that very minor point, it's a great solution to a common problem.

I have used Coat Caddy a few years back when I had to wear suits everyday for my job. before that, I struggled with deciding to take off the coat and try and set it down neatly or to wear it and allow part of it to potentially get wrinkled (not to mention feel less comfortable than without my coat on).I found the coat caddy by some miracle then and bought four (two for each vehicle we owned: Honda civic and Honda CR-V). They worked wonderfully. I gave them away when my job changed and I did not need to wear suits anymore.Fast forward to today, I now have an occasional need for some suits and so bought two (one for each vehicle). The reason only one is because my baby's car seat comes so close to the front seats in our Ford F-150 and Ford Explorer that only one per vehicle is feasible. Otherwise, I would have bought two.They arrived after about ten days from purchase and had minimal packaging. They are a strong shiny silver metal with two sturdy black brackets at the feet. The two pillar rods of metal have a tension on them and want to spread out so when you push in on them and apply the bracket to the feet of your headrest they stay put from the tension. Its a clever design and very simple to install (a minute max). They work well on both our Ford vehicles. In fact they look great too in my opinion and I field lots of questions and then compliments on them.I would highly recommend these for anyone who even occasionally has a coat to hang or may be transporting passengers who have coats to hang (imagine realtors, sales reps, etc). This would be a very simple and classy touch to the experience you provide your clients if they can hang their suit coat or sweater or light jacket there.Whenever you don't want it there, you can always just take it down as quickly as it went up. I think there are very few people out there who shouldn't own at least one of these for their household or business. They are very reasonably priced, classy in appearance, and simple to use. Perfection in a product.

The device is very well constructed and looks nice. It also fits nicely on the set headrest. Unfortunately, its too high above the seat and gets stuck on the ceiling and side of the car when the seat is tilted forward. It probably works well with a full size car. With a Mini Cooper, not so much.

I have to wear a suit to work every day, so I bought this coat hanger to keep my jacket wrinkle free. I really love this because:1) It is easy to remove if you are packing people into your car. Squuze the central metal rods and voila, it comes off in 1 second flat.2) It is pretty solid. It holds up my 52" jacket easily and does not bend or move at all.3) The little clippy things that attach to the headrest are fairly adjustable and it should fit many different sized vehicles (not sure if the width is standard in cars)4) Solid metal all around with plsastic "C" clippy things that are pretty solid as well. It seems to be very high quality.5) In my mazda cx9, keeps my jacket easily off the floor (I'm 6'3")6) "hanger" size is pretty standard to a normal hanger's size, so the shoulders don't sag.7) Shipped really quicklyOnly issue would be if you want a very very small hanger. This sticks out probably 3-4" behind the seat and works awesomely in an SUV. I can see how it may not be ideal if you got a tiny car, but I'm not sure what other options are available to you besides hanging it up on a handle, which is a pretty awful solution.

I am giving it only 3 stars due to the fact that I cannot use this in the winter. Luckily I bought two of these, and I will save the non broken one for the summer. The plastic snapped under the weight up a suit jacket in -20 degrees C. I will resume use of this handy device in the summer for sure.

I bought this for use in my 2007 Scion xB. It will work with any car seat headrest that uses two metal posts.The product was easy to install and is easy to use. It's made out of sturdy materials.My only words of caution will be to watch out for your blind spot once you start using this. When I want to make a lane change to the left, my coat is now blocking my view when I turn my head to look. I can still see what's right next to my car, but the coat definitely is in the way.As compared to hanging the coat on the hook just above the rear passenger door, I suppose this blocks less of my view than the alternative. But it was still a surprise when I first went to make a lane change.

Didn't fit my car. Had to use a bungee cord to help hold it in place. Other than finding a way to rig it, it works nice to hang up a coat vs. throwing it on the backseat.

It shakes and vibrates a little more than I would expect over the bumps in the road, but it is not anything I would complain about. Other than that, It works exactly as one would expect.
