I like knowing my water is being filtered for particulates before being dechlorinated, softened then put through RO.

This whole house water filter fit my standard filter housing perfectly. There were no issues removing my old filter and replacing it with this one. I usually use a 10 micron filter and I noticed an increase in pressure as soon as I turned the filter on. I checked it after a couple of days and it appeared to be catching the usual amount of debris. I may decide to go with the 20 micron from now on just to have that little increase in pressure.

I get a lot of rust particles in my well water, and need to pre-filter the sediment before sending this to my carbon filters, lest they get clogged. This does the trick for me, and I can send some relatively clear water to the carbon filter, and then remove any fine particulate with a post-carbon filter.

I replaced these every month. Because my water pressure gets low. The filter I removed is not even dirty. But a new one fixes my pressure. My old filters were charged every four months. Guess I'm going back to them.
