Great Stuff 99112809 Smart Dispenser Pestblock, Gray

I bought a house two years ago that was remodeled. This year for whatever reason the local rodent population decided to move in when it got cold. The remodelers had created tons of highways for the little buggers and never bothered to close any of their holes up. I had holes around the pipes for my water heater, holes around the drain pipes under my sinks and the guy that put the dryer vent in didn't even fill up the gap around the dryer vent or put a screen on it where it goes outside. When using foam to fill a gap where rodents are a concern, it's recommended to add either steel wool or copper wool/fabric to the patch because they hate chewing on metal. This foam also contains something the buggers are supposed to hate the taste of. So squirt in some foam, lay a piece of your metal material over that and squirt in a bit more foam to make a sort of sandwich which hopefully they won't chew threw and get back in. A field mouse is small usually around an inch and their skeletons can compact to the width of their heads so most mice can enter through a hole the size of a number two pencil. Once you block off their entry method you'll undoubtedly trap a few in the structure. I hate the idea of poisons around my dog not to mention other things in the yard that can and will get into it. The rodent metabolism cannot handle baking soda for whatever reason, it may take a bit longer to kill them than poisons but it's safe around the other critters in your house that belong there. At this price someone's making a whole bunch of money off this product and despite what they claim on the can, once you open it you only have a few days to use it. The stuff dries out fast and there is no way to clean the nozel if it gets clogged. There is a professional sized package of this and a supposedly cleanable application nozel but if you read the reviews on that setup that thing clogs up just as fast as buying a can at a time. We clogged up all the grand canyons through the wall under the sinks etc. I have heard what sounds like chewing going on at least one spot but haven't seen them get back through yet. I suppose only time will tell if this worked.

Good stuff if u have steady hands. I put it on the gaps in the garage on there all messed up. If know how to use it u can have it nice if not be all jacked up.

I only had a couple of small holes to close so I had plenty of product left in the can. I rinsed the spray nozzle as best as I could and stored separately. When I discovered more holes on the opposite side of the room that needed to be sealed, I could not clear the spray nozzle so the can was rendered useless. If this company is going to continue to sell this product, they need to provide additional nozzles.

Good stuff but the nozzle loosens up very easily causing it to flow out from underneath the nozzle connection like very easily.. but other than that it works excellently

Does what’s intended, easy to use just like any spray foam. I bought this one to use since it blocks pests from getting in.
