This is one of the better pocket scales I've seen. With several neat features which set it above the rest in the market. When it comes to accuracy, it's on point. This is the 500 gram capacity model. Measuring down to 0.01 (hundredths) of a gram. It has 7 different measurement units to choose from. grams, ounces ,carats, grains, taels (an asian unit of measure equal to approximately 1.5 oz or 50 grams), troy ounce, and PCS which is a quantity counting feature. The PCS is a bulk measure feature where each item is presumed to weight exactly the same and you need the scale to calculate/confirm the total quantity of items on the scale vs. their combined weight. It works in increments of 25 items up to 100. It also has a calibration feature, which should ONLY be used if you know for certain that the scale needs correction. Otherwise don't mess with it. I timed the auto-shut off function at 3 minutes and 15 seconds. The manual says it automatically shuts off at 180 seconds while the box says after 60. But mine shuts off after no button presses are made after 195 seconds. Weight fluctuations of the scale (adding or removing weight) does not restart the countdown. The display screen is large and easy to read. The buttons are large and make a noticeable click when pressed with minimal pressure. It has a TARE button which returns the weight to zero so you can include a small tray to hold your items being weighed without including the weight of the tray in the final calculation and this is also used for assuring correct calibration. One of the nice features of this scale is that is has a built in transparent protective cover shield over the scale plate. Which does not touch the scale when closed and protects the weight measurement from being influenced by any wind or breeze in the environment. It also keeps small items on the scale plate and prevents them from being lost, falling/rolling off during the weighing process. This is a great feature especially when measuring many small loose items simultaneously like gem stones, powders, gold and silver dust filings or small coins. Easiest way to do this is: Place the scale on a flat surface and turn it on, choose your unit of measure and tare it to zero. Turn the scale upside down with the cover open. Fill the cover with your multiple items needing weighed, carefully close the scale over top of the cover , then quickly flip the whole thing right side up again and record the weight displayed. You can then turn the whole thing upside down again to retrieve you items without spilling or handling them. It takes 2 AAA batteries which are included. The bottom has 4 textured rubber feet which grip the surface of a table/desk extremely well and prevent movement. The scale plate comes covered with a blue protective anti-static plastic film which can be removed. The scale is small enough to fit inside a purse, or inside jacket pocket. The plastic protective cover lid, keeps the scale plate protected from being warped or bent during transport and keeps the scales accurate. Adding another 1/2 to the overall thickness of the scale. You can easily clean dust and debris from underneath the scale plate with a small ribbon of thin fabric or compressed air.

I hate waiting on lines. Especially at the post office. I know how to look up and calculate postage. Until now I would have to guestimate the weight of envelopes I wanted to mail .Anything with more than a few pages, I was lost. Tax returns? Forget about it! A trip to the local Post Office was a necessity. But no longer. This makes my life so much easier.This is a small compact scale capable of measuring in 6 different units of measurement. It is powered by 2 AAA batteries and seems pretty sturdy other than the clear plastic cover which I removed as this scale will live on the corner of my office desk.& doesn't need protection.The model I have has a 500 gram (1.1 lb) capacity which is enough for my purposes since I use a luggage scale for anything larger. It shuts itself off in 60 seconds after use. This scale is perfect for my needs.It's well worth the price.

Don't trust this. It does not function correctly or with accuracy. It seemed cheaply made, the scale platform has scratches is clearly used and messed up my whole project. As you can see in the photos the ring I weighed according to the instructions the first time made me think I was rich lol. That was until I realized it was wrong. With the unnecessary lid closed objects weigh a lot more than they actually do with the lid open. A bad design and a disappointment.I tested it with other pieces as well. Sad😥

I recently realized my measuring spoons weren't nearly accurate enough. I was able to use my kitchen scale to test the larger spoons, but the smaller spoons require more sensitivity than my scale can offer. This scale works well to help me test those measures or even take the place of using those spoons altogether.The scale is easy to use, easy to tare, and easy to read. I look forward to being able to more accurately follow recipes.It wasn't clear how to remove the cover in order to use it as a container to prevent items from rolling off the scale. The hinge is only small protrusions on the clear plastic that fit into small divots on the main unit.Gently pull the lid to one side and the lid can then be lifted off the unit.

I checked this scale with my precision test weights and against my grain gun powder scale. I find it to be dead on accurate. I would trust this scale to measure important values like gold. It will do tare functions, and can convert weight values while weighing a specific item, For example, put a 3.5 gram item on the scale and you can find out what that weighs in ounces just by pressing the mode button until it comes to oz. Clear plastic cover will help you weight powders without them blowing around or protect the scale surface when being carried. It is pocket size. Two AAA batteries included. Using this scale and another we identified different mason jars with different weights. The scales tested read within a maximum deviation of +/- .08 accuracy. The scale is about the size of a cellular phone. It tested with high accuracy and is easy to use featuring an auto-off (shut down) when idle.

This scale is nice and compact. I got this for use with jewelry making and it works great. It was accurate right out of the box, too. It is powered by two AAA batteries that are included and the screen is quite large and easy to read.
