Very sturdy, well-made knife for $30!
The knife weighs in at 6.4 oz which is solid but not too heavy.Blade thickness runs .19" (4.8mm) which is surprising considering the weight. The balance is right where your forefinger would rest behind the guard. The good:1. First knife I've received with an even bevel on each side of the cutting edge.2. The exposed portion of the tang is polished to a mirror finish.3. The grind lines on the swedge are even on both sides and perfect right up to the point.4. The workmanship overall is amazing for the price.5. Aside from a tiny gap around the entire edge of the tang and grip panel, no hot spots to report. The bad:1. The wooden grip panels are THICC. For my medium-ish sized hands, they felt overly large and I spent an hour or 2 with a carving knife, file and sandpaper to cut down and reshape the wood grip panels.2. The leather sheath it came with was a bit dry and a little loose-fitting. Nothing a dab of leather conditioner won't fix.You really can't beat this deal for $30. DC53 steel is like a tougher D2 according to the experts. It's not quite a "stainless" steel, but plenty corrosion resistant for outdoorsy stuff as long as you don't leave it exposed to wet for extended periods of time. Would I buy it again? Yes!

Great knife but lousy sheath.
The knife is amazing for the money. If you told someone it cost a hundred bucks they wouldn't doubt it. The sheath in the picture is far nicer looking than what I received. Mine is the same pattern but synthetic leather and very thin. Thankfully I am a leather worker. I would have made a custom one anyway. Buy the knife. You will not be disappointed.

great product at great price
Great quality at great price. The sheath is a little thin. The loop part of the sheath is pinned rather than stitched, so less reliable in my opinion.

Wow
This is an absolute steel for the money. Great hunting knife. The sheath holds it fast and it takes a great position on the belt.

Knife is near-perfectly balanced and very sharp
I loved everything about this knife. The sheath left just one thing to be desired - a wider belt loop. Other than that, this knife is a fantastic value. It is premium steel that really retains an edge. It cut through the skin of the deer of I shot on opening day with my bow with absolute ease, and made short work of gutting and butchering it. After all that, the knife was still shave-sharp!! It is very well balanced also at the first rivet under your index finger. Knife is very well made!!
