MEDca Digital BTE Hearing Personal Sound - Perfect for Men and Women

I bought this not really expecting big things from it for the price but it's really a very good hearing aid,but it uses the battery very quick if you wear it all day like I did as my other hearing aid was being fixed so it's a good back one.

I appreciate this is a low-cost 'hearing aid' product but it is not worth it. The product does very little to improve or amplify sound and is of poor build quality. Trying to use it resulted in repeated high-pitched feedback noise which meant it was uncomfortable and unpleasant and the product was tried on 3 different users with the same result. Finally the written instructions provided are poorly translated and do not cover all of the product buttons and functions.

I have needed hearing aids since measles left me with a significant hearing loss at the age of 4. I cannot function in daily life without them. So it was a real problem when - while away from home, travelling - one of my state-of-the-art digital aids became irreparably damaged. In panic, I ordered two of these because this model seemed to be one of the highest-power over-the-counter aids available with overnight Prime delivery to my hotel. I'm currently wearing just one, with my remaining "official" hearing aid in the opposite ear. Clearly, there is a considerable difference, but this one really isn't bad for the incredibly low price. It shouldn't ever be a long-term solution for anyone: feedback and a slight hissing noise are annoying problems which require patient adjustment of the settings, and the operating instructions are woefully inadequate. I think that may be why some reviewers dislike the aid. I have years of practice, so know how to fiddle with it, how to change between the four programmes while wearing it, and so forth, but a first-time user might not. All in all though, it has been a temporary lifesaver for me, and I'll make sure to always travel with a pair of these as back-up. They get a qualified recommendation from me!

The hearing aid looks great, but unfortunately my 93 year old mother refused to wear it! So for me it was a wonderful idea as she is very deaf! But it’s now back in the box! An expensive mistake on my part!

Worked for a couple of days, then stopped working, quite annoyed, changed battery several times, would not recommend

Purchased for an elderly lady but she finds it difficult to insert. The 'off switch' is the clip on the battery compartment which she cannot handle. It works as described but it seems to be tricky to wear.

The MEDca hearing aid I just recieved does not look anything like the image in the catalogue. The one received has a much thicker hearing tube which is unsighlty to me. I specifically ordered the MEDca as it showed a thin hearing tube which does not over advertise the fact one has hearing difficulties (adding to the feeling of being ancient etc). Amazon have now kindly resolve this issue for me here. I just wish I could find a hearing aid with a thin hearing tube now.
