I ordered this compost bin in white and so far I am loving it. It has a nice clean look to it. I like that even though it's plastic and lightweight, it's pretty sturdy. I read in a review that the side handle broke off. I would never carry it by that side handle. It has a nice handle that swings up to use and then lays down the side of the bin when not carrying it. The lid removes so it's easy to line the bin with a bag but still has a nice tight seal to keep odors in and fruit flies out.I also ordered biodegradable bags for it so I can empty the bin easily.Just ordered the smaller one in green for our travel trailer and I can't wait to get it!Highly recommend.

Nice, modern compost bin; it holds a lot and fits easily in a corner on our countertop. Very easy to clean too. And no smell whatsoever which is great.Updated: Took off one star as the inside bin with the handle now has cracks around two edges. It's never been dropped or tapped/hit agains anything. Hopefully it won't get any worse.

I bought this when my ceramic compost bin lid cracked. I am happy with this bin, very well thought and modern design.The pro:• The mouth of the bin is big, means able to insert more food waste and throw the compost easily without debris stuck inside the rim• A bin that you can pull out without having your compostable bag breaks when food waste gets too heavy.• It good quality plastic, well constructed, lid is tight, smell would not emit. This material might last compared to Ceramic that might crack, chip or metal bin that might dent and rust easily.Overall happy with my purchase.

This is the best way to store the compost scraps! It holds about a week's worth of veg scraps (2 person family) lid fits securely. Washes up easily too. No smell gets out and fruit flies are gone.

This is my third try at getting a kitchen compost bin that I like and and actually use, and finally, I found this bin, which meets all of my wants and needs: big enough to hold a lot of scraps but small enough to look nice and not take up too much space on the counter; the inner drain bin is great (so I can pour out any liquid, then put the scraps into my large Bokashi composter); everything fits together nicely--no leaking odors or awkward fit; the handles are well placed and make it so easy to use (so much easier having a side handle); all 3 pieces (bin, interior drain bin, and lid) work just fine in the dishwasher--although I only put them on the top rack); and I love the green color that I ordered! Plus it's significantly less money than the $35 competitor on AZ. Totally recommended!!

I am surprised that this bin works so well to contain odor. I have to admit that I was skeptical because I've had others that didn't, despite charcoal filters and rubber gaskets. This has neither and yet somehow forms a soft suction around the top in use. Because of this, the rotting foodstuff has remained undetectable. The basket is a nice touch, easily removed, and the 'tea' beneath is a fine food for my plants. If I were going to make any suggestion at all, it would be that the finger grip on the top have a nubby texture inside, or perhaps pinch walls that are not exactly vertical. I'm finding in my senior years that my grip is weak and I have a tiniest bit of an issue getting the lid off. Do NOT let this deter you from buying this canister. I am very pleased with my purchase!

This bin is perfect for my kitchen, it fits nicely on my counter when I'm preparing meals to discard peeling ect. Also for scraping dishes off into after meals. It fit easily under kitchen sink for storing. I picked the light green, it adds a nice color to my kitchen. I especially like how it has an insert bucket with slots to drain off liquid into the solid outer bucket. No dealing with messy dripping when it is time to empty.

This bin is amazing and I regret I have only just discovered it! It is hanging on a cupboard door in the kitchen, it opens easily and is so convenient! I would highly recommend this product! The size is perfect by the way!
