perfect for family time
I bought the DICE+ before taking a holiday with my family. I got it with our daughter in mind; I figured it'd provide enough novelty to keep her occupied during the long travel time, or on evenings when we'd want to sit a little longer at the dinner table. It ended up being quite a bit of fun for us adults as well. I set it up to work with my husband's iPad, which took all of five minutes. (You do need WiFi to download the corresponding app to your tablet -- I recommend to do this in advance, not in transit.) Our daughter's been around techy devices long enough to work them with ease and she had no issues with figuring out the DICE. She loves the animations on This Way Up and has started to challenge her dad to Backgammon almost nightly. (I quite like the Rainbow Jack game myself, but that's the only one I've been the consistent winner of - ha!) Some more strategy/cerebral games would be really great for kids to develop their critical thinking skills. The die ties in the ease of having multiple games available on one tablet with that physical benefit of sharing a board game with someone. It also comes with a little pouch which makes for stress free travel.**Note: Amazon lists this product as a CD-Rom. It's actually a gaming die powered by Bluetooth. No CDs in sight!

A dice that does exactly... NOTHING. - Do not buy.
Like the last reviewer, I bought one and found that the item actually did... nothing. Not a glimmer of any light or charging. I returned the product for a replacement which did exactly.... NOTHING at all. I returned the second item for a refund.I think the Dice+ company has a batch of defective items it would seem if mine the the previous reviewer's experiences are identical and they are still being sold!!???

Dead on arrival
I received a dead Dice+. I am trying to return it to the seller, now.Basically, no lights, no recharge ability... nothing.Seems that other people have had the same problem.

New technology!
I bought two of these items and had to return both of them as they didn't work when I charged them. The company that sold them said that there was a fault with them
