Lovely EO from yellow, rather than red, Mandarin. Zesty, fruity and sweet smelling. Fabulous in a blend.
I do like Absolute Aromas EOs - they're an ethical company and their products are decent quality. This Mandarin is nice - cold pressed from the rind of the yellow (half ripe) Mandarin, rather than the more common, riper Red Mandarin, this is zesty, sweet, fruity and a real Christmas essential.I particularly like this blended with their Tangerine (very similar, but slightly sharper), and some Cinnamon EO, rounded off with a couple of drops of Clove Bud EO - ratio 6:6:4:2 in a vapouriser. But is just as good in any form of diffuser for a lovely Seasonal fragrance.Mandarin with Petitgrain - a few drops in a bath is sheer indulgence - but there's a leaflet in with the product which gives more information and usage suggestions.These oils are good enough quality to add to a plain shampoo, or a couple of drops into your usual amount of conditioner.Lost a star, regretfully, because the use of pesticide is commonly used in citrus groves, depending on location, and unless you buy organic it's always possible some residue may piggyback into an expressed oil, though at recommended dilutions in a carrier, this shouldn't be a problem for us ordinary mortals.

So far so good
As with my review for another Absolute Aromas essential oil, it's pricey, but smells great. I use it (and all my EOs) for topical applications and in DIY products; a few drops goes a long way with this oil, as with the others I have from Absolute Aromas, and the fragrance doesn't dissipate too quickly once applied. This company is a little on the expensive side, but so far my experience of their oils is positive.
