Great for clam sauce!
I’ve almost given up on finding canned clams to make a quickie clam sauce. This brand’s clams in clam juice is a game-changer. The chopped clams are succulent with great flavor and the clam juice is slightly sweet, just right to make clam sauce. Here’s my quickie recipe for clam sauce over pasta.1) boil water for pasta in a 4-5 quart pot.2) skin & mince a head of garlic.3) open 3 - 4 ncans of clams & drain. Reserve the clam juice for later.4) heat minced garlic with 2 tablespoon of olive oil. Stir to prevent burning. After about a minute, add drained clams.5) when water boils, put in pasta & set timer.6) continue sautéing the clams. Add reserved clam juice & lower flame to simmer & thicken.7) when pasta is cooked, drain out the water & keep drained pasta in the same pot. Add olive oil and no-salt seasoning (or other desired spices) & use tongs to mix well.8) portion pasta into individual bowls, laden in clam sauce & serve.My family loves this meal so much that I plan to use it for camping! Easy, quick, delicious & no refrigeration needed! Yum!
