KING: Alliance Series Book Two

Worth a read
It's a very typical mafia trope. Nothing new about the story plot or characters, but written in the impeccable style of the author so worth a read

A book I didn't want to put down
The whole book is a sheer perfection and the characters are extremely perfect for my eyes with their own defects.Yes, I was so happy to read a Mafia book with 92 chapters and I'm here telling you that I hadn't got enough of King and Savannah because that's how the author made me feel. I would happily read 1k pages of King making Savannah calling him 'My king' or 'My husband'Regarding the passionate love between the main leads, it's better if you read because I'm not sure whether I'll be able to express how much I adored them together. I think me telling, my whole body was cover with goosebumps, my heart felt overwhelmed and stomach dipped would be enough.Overall, this book is a complete blessing to me.

A visit for dinner at her friend's home turns into a disastrous turn of events...
Savannah Oates is a talented painter who gets kidnapped, technically, after being witness to a murder. Her kidnapper is no other than one of the owners of The Alliance, King Vass. Savannah hates this devil of a man, even though he is good-looking, and is forced to marry him. He claims to be saving her from his enemies and other trouble but it surely doesn't feel like that. She feels imprisoned and plans to escape. But King is an obsessive, possessive, and smart man, who won't let her run away. He plans to keep her forever. From the beautiful house she's been taken to, to the Cane Corso she has started calling a friend, King's life starts becoming Savannah's but this might definitely be the Stockholm Syndrome kicking in. She must not forget her husband's threats and killer-side which has put her in all the mess. Not even if he tries to give all that she never even thought she could have; love, kindness, and respect.⭐4/5🌶3/5This book is an enjoyable read. The tropes of Forced Marriage and Touch Her and You Die were presented really well. The book is humourous too. The spice is sizzling. If you're interested in spice, then you need to read this one for the basement scene. (Everyone's talking about it!) Check out my annotations to see how this man speaks during spicy scenes. I enjoyed Nero and King's banter a lot. King's behaviour toward Savannah is amiable. I reveled in the possessive and murderous side of King. If that's not enough for you to pick this one up, know that this man literally kills for his woman and calls her his queen. But at the same time, he can be supportive and caring too!!!Do I Recommend?- BIG YES! But only for adults who have read the content warnings carefully.A big thank you to @sjtillyauthor and @wordsmithpublicity for providing me with an ARC of this book!

A read that kept me Entranced!!
This is the first book I read by the author and I am in awe. I am in love with her writing and the world she has created. I was spellbound and the read finished even before I realised. It's a dark romance that made me cackle like a lunatic. It's obviously one of the top read of 2023 for me.King and Savannah made me fall hard for them from the first page. There first meeting cracked me up and the second time they meet was even more crazy. The way things develop and how they get married intrigued me. I stayed up all night coz I had to know what happens next. There are so many moments I loved. I was swooning over King and there chemistry was sizzling hot enough, to melt my kindle. Both Savannah and King need to work hard to earn each other's trust especially considering the situation they got married in.Duke become my favourite and I loved those supposed conversation between Duke and King. The paintings Savannah creates with all the milestones in there relationship put a huge smile on my face. I was in awe with there love and craved more of them. I wanna say so much more but do not want to spoil. Now I need to go back and read Nero, Payton's book and cannot wait for Dom. I am definitely going to re-read this book.

🚩👑✨
This plot is unbelievable but I can tell you it worked. And worked perfectly. The story was captivating and the action was well placed.King is a walking and talking red flag 🚩Savannah is an artist, a painter, with few friends. She craves for family and connection but always felt very alone. With this forced proximity/kidnapping “thing” 😂 she founds in King everything she wanted the most. The way King worshiped her was delicious to read, the kink stuff is not for everybody so check the triggers, but if it’s for you, you’ll love thaaaaaat much 🥵.But I need to say the truly hero in this book is called Duke: this dog stoled my heart for good 🖤. I’m a goner for dogs, every book with them will get 5⭐️ from me!

All the Her King & His Baby Stars! 👑❤🎨
After having read and absolutely LOVED Nero I couldn't wait for King! This book immediately became one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I started counting down the days and once I got to dive back into the Alliance world, I had to devour this bad boy in one sitting. I loved King with all my heart!I've been so curious about King, our man with his universal key ways and was absolutely ecstatic to learn his book was next! Back to The Alliance I went.King and Savannah's journey had me utterly hooked from beginning to end! Savannah is at her friend's house with a guy she's been seeing and discovers he's married. It's there her world collides with King's and when Savannah witnesses something she shouldn't have, King kidnaps her. As Savannah is thrust into the darkness and forced to marry King, will she escape? Or will the heart want what it wants?King is sin personified and I am forever addicted!Right from the memorable moment King and Savannah meet to how they are brought closer together than ever, I was glued to these two and their story from start to finish! Savannah is an artist and her passion shines throughout this story. I so admired her love for her art and her fighting spirit. I related to her on so many deep levels that got to me. King is part of The Alliance and his world isn't for the faint of heart. Red flags and all, I loved how determined King was when it came to Savannah and how there was more to this man than meets the eye.I didn't know how Savannah and King would tackle the situation they were in, their marriage, and every emotion they drew from each other and that had me even more invested in their story. I was on edge all throughout reading. I loved the sides King and Savannah brought out in one another and how they didn't back down. These two could make any ice cube turn into an absolute puddle with how they set fire to my kindle! 🥵 Without a doubt some of the most unique steamy moments I've ever read! From the thoughtfulness and heart to the dark and relatable, this story brought it all and then some! King is a heart stealer and so is Savannah! Just like Nero and Payton, King and Savannah have left their mark on my heart. Also, I so want to be King's Baby. 😍Sometimes life can surprise you and lead someone your way that gets your soul, from the messy, dark, the beautiful, and everything in between and that was shown in spades through King and Savannah's story. There were so many parts that I highlighted, but here are just some of my favorite quotes -"Life is way more fun when you just let yourself feel and don't bother with psychoanalyzing every moment to death.""And because the world needs your art.""Like there's something connecting my chest to his. A tangible string I swear I could touch if I tried.""Savannah is your match.""My King."Being back in The Alliance world and getting to reunite with my favorites thrilled this book loving heart of mine to no end! Also, I adored Duke and what the other characters brought to the story! With King, Ms.Tilly has outdone herself with this unputdownable, absolutely unforgettable, and orginal dark mafia read! From the depth, the twisted, humor, heat, and every bit of feels it all made for one addictive journey I couldn't get enough of! Once again, She knocked the darkness right of the park! Another top read of 2023 for me and a new favorite! ❤Such a fantastic addition to The Alliance world! This author and her books continue to make me fall even more in love with reading than I already am. If you haven't checked out her work, you must change that this year!Be sure to read the author's content warning and get ready for all of King's red flags. 😏🚩

She’s done it again!
Okay wow. S.J. Tilly does it again! I swear she’s in a league of her own with this series. If you thought Nero was a lot, wait until you meet King. Because this man, is just wow 🥵Basically this is a story of wrong place, wrong time, wrong man, for Savannah who ends up on a date with a married man, then witnesses his murder. King then (obviously) decides to kidnap and force her to marry him and they end up being perfect for each other.King is an unhinged walking red flag and I don’t mind, not one bit! When it comes to Savannah he is possessive, supportive and sweet. I really loved them together, their banter and the spice was perfection. As much as I love a spicy book, there has to be a good plot and characters, this has it all! The way he supported her when nobody else ever did, melted me and made me swoon.Savannah started out quite meek but her character development and the progression throughout the story was so well done, by the end she had gained so much confidence and was asking for what she wanted and giving King a hard time.I loved seeing more of King and Nero’s friendship, their dynamic and banter is so fun and there were some laugh out loud moments.A must read if you love* Mafia vibes* Forced marriage* Kidnapping* Possessive MMC* Touch her and die* Good banter

King is amazing!!
Bookstagram: read.by.sydRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️Dark romance ✔️Mafia ✔️Forced marriage ✔️Touch her and you die ✔️Curvy fmc ✔️Age gap ✔️Dual POV ✔️“𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒓. 𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏.”I LOVED THIS BOOK 😍 I love Nero, but King just hits different 🔥I freaking loved Savannah and the attitude she gave King. She sure as hell didn’t make it easy for him 😂Savannah finds herself in a terrible situation: the man she was seeing is actually married (married to King’s sister at that) 😅 and when she goes to get her keys from his apartment after leaving that disaster of a dinner party, she witnesses King murder him. King knows Savannah saw too much, so he kidnaps her and keeps her locked in his home.He decides that they’re going to get married to solve the issue of her seeing too much and Savannah is not okay with it. I was laughing when they were getting married though because the way Nero phrases things was hilarious 😂From there, they navigate being married and Savannah is at war with her feelings for King.King is such an amazing book boyfriend. He literally breaks a guy’s arms because he touches his wife inappropriately. LIKE HELLO? That’s hot af 🫠 don’t even get me started on that basement scene either 🔥This is a stand-alone, but you should definitely read the first in the series anyways because Nero is just as crazy as King 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
